He chuckles. “Yeah, this will keep me quiet. For the time being.”

“Can we focus on something else, like how amazing this week has been. I’m so glad we found our way back to each other.”

“I can’t believe we spent so much time apart,” he murmurs while kissing me.

“I know.”

Adrian’s hands and lips on me awaken all the pent-up sexual energy I’ve acquired today. I want him to take me right now, even if that means we fall off this paddle board doing the deed. But Adrian seems to have other plans because he breaks the kiss to ask me a question.

“What’s been your favorite part of this vacation?”

I don’t know how he has enough willpower to carry out a proper conversation when all I can think about is feeling him inside me. “My favorite part of this week? Obviously having sex with you.”

“Obviously,” he laughs. “Mine too. But what else?”

“Maybe this moment right now.”

“Really?” His face seems to glow at my words.

“And yours?”

He thinks about the question, trying to fight a mischievous grin.

“What?” I ask.

“Ah… it’s nothing. Let me think, my favorite moment…”

That playful look in his eyes is not nothing and is enough to make me start panicking. “Adrian, what?”

“I told you, it’s nothing. Something you won’t remember.”

“I have a superhuman brain and remember every second of my life—from the day of my birth leading all the way up to right now. I especially remember moments involving you.”

“You were drunk,” he says.

“Fuck. Which night?”

“The first night at the resort. Don’t be embarrassed. I loved every second of it.” He kisses me again, trying to distract me, but it doesn’t work.

“What did I do?” All I can think about is the sex dream.

“It was after I carried you out of the ocean. You didn’t have your bungalow key, so I took you back to mine and placed you in my bed. I sat next to you for a minute to make sure you were asleep, but when I got up to leave, you asked me to stay.”

My hands fidget in my lap. “What else did I say?”

“It’s not what you said, it’s what you did. I lay beside you, giving you your space, but you curled up into my arms. You stayed like that the entire night. I snuck out to the couch early the next morning, knowing you’d be furious if you woke up beside me.”

“Thatis your favorite moment?”

He smiles. “It’s when I realized you didn’t hate me as much as you claimed.”

Okay, his reasoning is kind of sweet, but I’m still mortified. “Did I do or say anything else?”

He eyes me with suspicion. “You asked that question the following morning. Why?”

“Let’s just say I had a dream about you. A very hot dream that made me come in my sleep. Multiple times.”

Adrian’s lips rise playfully. He presses my hips into his lap, alerting me to the new bulge beneath his fly. “So, I must have been pretty good in the dream?”
