“Please.” She begged. Even the minimalcontact with her core had strung her body tight.

Aligning himself at her entrance, he pushedin an inch.

She arched her neck, the pleasure of himbreaching her tender sex, more than she could take. “Rex.Please.”

“Please what, Anna?” He ground his jaw.

“Please take me.” She’d forgotten how thisstarted. Nor did she care.

He grunted. “You feel fucking amazing, but Idon’t have a condom on.”

She should be concerned. She’d never had sexwithout a condom, but she never wanted a torn condom to change thecourse of her career or tie her to some guy for the rest of herlife, so she had secured her future with birth control years ago.“I’m on birth control.” Her words came out breathy.

He groaned. “Are you sure?”

Her inner walls squeezed him. His eyesrolled back in his head.

When she lifted her hips, taking a littlemore of him, he hissed. “Fuck me.” His breath was ragged. Thecorded muscles of his biceps tensed as his hands held her wrists. It was clear he was holding back from driving into her fully. Fromgiving her what they both wanted.

“That’s exactly what I want. To fuckyou.”

He stared down at her, his eyes hazy. “Iwant to wake up with you like this every day.” Then he slammed intoher and threw his head back. A growl ripped from him. The soundratcheted up her own desire.

She moaned. Her body was sore, deliciouslyso. She hadn’t thought she’d notice a difference without a condom, but she’d been so wrong. His hard length rammed into her, his skinas hot as hers. It was exquisite.

He brushed her hair out of her face andleaned forward to press his mouth to hers. “You’re amazing.”

Moving with precision, he thrust into her, hitting spots within her that had never been reached before him, until she shattered around him. He followed shortly behind her, coming with a fierce rumble. Collapsing on top of her, their bodiesheaved with deep breaths.

He stretched out alongside her and pulledher into his arms. “Every day, Sunshine.” He kissed her hair. Shesnuggled into him. “I could do this every day.”

A part of her felt the same way. For yearsshe’d focused on her career. Any relationship with a man wassuperficial. No introductions to her parents or closest friends.Just a few dates. Maybe sex if they’d gotten past three dates. Butshe had her eye on the prize and a man would only get in herway.

“We’d never get anything done,” sheteased.

“I don’t know about you, but I feel quiteaccomplished, and we haven’t even set foot out of this bed.” Hesqueezed her close and pressed a kiss to the top of her head.

She swatted him. “You just want me for mybody.”

“I do want your body.” He skimmed hisfingers down her arm. “But I want more than that.” He lifted herchin to catch her gaze. “I want all of you.”

Goosebumps rose on her skin. Whether fromhis touch, his words, or both. Rex had her questioning herdecisions, her future. Waking up to him was so much better than anymorning in her life had ever been. Was she focused on the wrongthing? Could she have a career and an amazing man? In this moment, her answer was yes to both. And he continued to prove that allweekend long and for the next few weeks.

Chapter Fourteen

Rex sat in the office of Dog Tired finishingup his reports from his recent travel to the Carolinas. Their beerwas holding its own. With tons of local mircobrews popping upeverywhere, they’d been worried the competition would drop salessignificantly. But people liked Dog Tired and more people likedtheir story—three college friends taking their pastime and passionand making it their future in a big way. It’s the AmericanDream.

The brewery bubbled with laughter andraucous discussions like a typical Friday evening. He enjoyedgetting his work done at this hour because the drone of the noisehelped him to concentrate.

But tonight he was anxious. After threeweeks of weekend trips to Tampa and meeting her parents andfriends, Anna demanded she head to Orlando this weekend. He didn’tmind making the drive west, but she wanted to see the brewery andmeet his friends and partners. She promised to be there by 7:00 andhe eagerly awaited her arrival.

He glanced at his watch. She was onlyfifteen minutes behind her promised time, but his foot tapped out anervous beat under his desk. Did she get stuck in traffic?Interstate four was a nightmare most days, but on a Friday at rushhour, it could turn an hour and a half drive into three. Had shegotten a later start than she thought she would?

“Why are you such a nervous Nelly?” Brady’sdeep voice brought him out of his own head. Brady leaned hisshoulder against the door jamb and crossed his ankles. He lookedput together in his crisp khaki pants and light blue Dog TiredBrewery polo shirt. A crooked smirk stretched his mouth.

“Shut up.” Rex rolled his eyes. Both Taylorand Brady had razzed him non-stop the last three weeks aboutfalling head over heels for Anna. Pestered him about bringing herto Orlando so they could meet her.

Brady snickered. “I like seeing you likethis.”
