Hawk was thinking the exact same thing, but he hadn’t wanted to say it out loud in front of Phoenix. The team had only figured out just last week that the former officer was a traitor who had been helping the General. The guy had been one of Phoenix’s best friends, so the betrayal had stung even worse for him.

“Every inmate has a right to visitors in jail unless they’ve needed disciplinary action,” Wes answered. “But Marco wasn’t able to tell us anything more than the name because the visit was in the mess hall during designated visiting hours and wasn’t recorded.”

“Dammit,” Hawk cursed. “What’d you get from the name?”

“Nothing,” Wes groaned. “From everything I could find, it was a fake name. I don’t know what that means other than it puts even more pressure on us to find these assholes as soon as possible.”

“Fine,” Hawk gritted through his teeth. “We’ll table that for now. What else do we have?”

“Right.” Wes pushed his glasses up as he continued. “Hannah was able to give Nora—”

“Noracan speak for herself,” Nora tsked before clearing her own throat dramatically.

“Sassy little pixie,” Phoenix muttered. One glare from Callie in her badass all-black ensemble and sleek, raven ponytail had him snapping his mouth shut.

“Thank you.” Nora smiled sweetly at Callie. “Anyhoo, Hannah was able to give us some pretty valuable information earlier today regarding the General’s private property holdings.”

She tilted her head toward the wall of monitors where Wes had already pulled up screen after screen showing different properties.

“Holy shit, the guy’s everywhere,” Phoenix muttered as he balanced on two legs in his rolling chair.

“How are you doing that?” Jason asked, his brows furrowed.

“Talent.” Phoenix beamed.

Devil snorted. “He broke the wheels off the damn thing.”

“Phoenix! These are new chairs!” Wes scoffed.

“Traitor.” Phoenix scowled at Devil, who just shrugged and popped a piece of Big Red gum in his mouth.

“Boys, settle down.” Nora wagged her finger before continuing. “But you’re right, Phoenix. That’s kinda the impression we got too. That he’s everywhere. Most of those holdings are in different names or companies, so Hannah was huge in connecting those dots—”

“Thanks,” a soft voice piped up.

Hawk swiveled around in his chair to see Hannah, her blonde hair back in a loose side braid and wearing the same T-shirt and jeans he’d just had grinding on him less than an hour ago. His cock twitched in his pants at the thought, but he ignored it and scrambled to his feet.

“Hannah, welcome. Here.” He pointed at his seat. “Why don’t you sit? Sorry, I didn’t know you were coming. Not that that’s a bad thing.”

Hannah’s black brow lifted in response and someone else in the room snickered. Her lips quirked in a smile as she passed by him.

“Nora invited me. And I think I can sit in one of these free chairs. I don’t have to take yours.” She pulled back the empty rolling chair right next to him and settled in.

“Oh, right.” Everyone stared at him as he awkwardly took his seat again.

“Smooth, dude. Real smooth.” Phoenix outright laughed.

Hawk’s cheeks warmed, but he didn’t care if he looked flustered. Hewasflustered. He’d left her back at her room because he hadn’t wanted to bother her with the meeting. She didn’t know the extent of what was going on with her father, and frankly, Hawk hoped she never found out. At the very least, he didn’t want her to find out in front of people who were virtually strangers to her.

“Hannah, you didn’t have to come if you didn’t want to,” he hedged.

“I wanted to.” A frown formed on her face and she crossed her arms. “Tommy is sound asleep and I want to be in on all of these conversations.”

“Right, just… some of them are about what your father has been up to—”

“We filled her in, Hawk,” Callie offered.

Hawk whipped his eyes toward her, unable to hide the shock in his expression. “Oneverything?”
