“You don’t have to tell me twice,” he growled.

He let go of the restraints and slipped his hands underneath her T-shirt. His fingers spread wide, dipping inside the waistband of her jeans as he gripped her waist and hips. His calluses were rough against her skin, just like she remembered. In the small cockpit, with his large body in front of and below hers and his hands spanning her waist, she felt completely supported and secure.

He squeezed tight just above her hip bones and pushed upward with his cock. She moaned at the motion, wishing she’d give herself permission to not only let go, but let him inside, too. But he didn’t seem deterred by her boundaries. Not at all. Instead, he helped her ride him and moved her so quickly against his cock that the final crashing orgasm came out of nowhere.

“Hawk!” she cried out before devolving into full gibberish in Spanish and English. She didn’t care what the hell she said as she exploded in ecstasy and emotion on top of him. Her eyes closed as she fell into her pleasure. She focused on the grip of his hands, the way his own harsh breaths mingled with hers, and the slight give the seat beneath them had, allowing them further range to grind against each other as she found her release.

Even though the climb was rushed, quick, and immediate, the fall was a gentle decline that lasted forever, leaving her keening and pulsing against his chest as she came down.

“Ah,fuck, I’m coming.” Hawk thrust harder against her core until he wrapped his arms around her and trembled underneath her. She pulled back enough to marvel at the sight of his handsome face contorted in pleasure. His brow furrowed as he cursed through gritted teeth, ending with her name on a relieved moan.

When her body was just shakes and tremors of relief, her exhausted inner muscles quivering, she fully collapsed against Hawk’s chest, giving in to his embrace and the pleasure of release. Their chests moved in sync and she shivered as his breaths fluttered against her hair. She snuggled into his neck, prompting him to clutch her tighter.

“I’m surprised we just got off like two teenagers in the back seat of a car. In a military-grade helicopter, no less.” She giggled.

His laugh rumbled from his chest, vibrating against hers. “Best action this thing’s ever seen, I promise you that.”

After their breathing finally slowed, she pushed lightly against his hard pecs to sit up. His embrace tightened briefly before he let her move and rested his hands on her hips again.

“I’m also surprised you let me restrain you,” she murmured. “It was symbolic, obviously. But still. You’re always in charge.”

“Listen, if you tell me to sit back and watch you have your wicked way with me, then I’ll buckle up and enjoy the ride any damn day of the week.”

His face lit up in a smile, and her eyes dropped to that gorgeous mouth. She absentmindedly traced the outline of his lips, starting from the left side and swooping across the bottom along the curve of his happiness.

“I remember the first time you started doing this.” His lips moved underneath her fingers.

Her fingers stilled as she realized what she was doing and she moved them to his chest instead. “You do? I don’t even remember how that started.”

A wistful look sparkled in his eyes. “It was that time we went camping.”

“¡Ay!That trip was theworst.” She pretended to gag, but Hawk just laughed and kept going.

“Most of it was. Especially when it poured and our—”

“Tent leaked.” Hannah shook her head with a grin. “At least it didn’t rain the rest of the time.”

“That’s how I convinced you to sleep out in the open in our combined sleeping bag.”

“You didn’t have to twist my arm that badly. The view was gorgeous. No light pollution so the nights were bright by the moon and we could see the whole Blue Ridge laid out before us like a blanket under the stars.”

“That next morning we made love as the sun rose over the mountains.”

“Made love.” Hannah laughed as her cheeks warmed at the term. “Hawkins Black, that sounds so cheesy!”

“Maybe so.” He shrugged with a grin of his own. “But what else do you call it when it’s the first time you say ‘I love you?’”

Hannah sucked in a sharp breath. How had she completely forgotten that part of their story? Her heart filled with emotion as he kept going, remembering details that had grown hazy with time.

“I woke up that morning knowing how I felt and knowing I couldn’t keep it to myself a second longer. I blurted it out like a fool, but you still somehow thought I was charming enough to sleep with afterward. Then we watched the sunrise, and you traced my face with your fingers. You claimed the best way to get a feelfor a painting was toactuallyfeelthe inspiration.”

The memory flooded in and she rolled her eyes, just like she had that morning. “You said I was just using it as an excuse to feel you up. But Iswearit helps me remember later!”

“Then I asked why you needed to memorize my face when your favorite thing to paint is skies over landscapes. Do you remember your answer?”

Her breath caught in her chest and her heart fluttered. His earnest eyes didn’t let up until she finally whispered, “That I never wanted to forgetmi cielo, mi amor.”

“My sky, my love,” Hawk repeated softly as he brushed her cheek with the back of his knuckles. “I never forgot you, Hannah. You can trust me. I know it’s been a long time. But everything I’ve done…everything… was to take care of you. I swear it.”
