Fuck, I love the sound of her voice like that. So raw. So uninhibited. No guilt or shame from taking pleasure in the act. That’show I want her.

After letting her ride out the second orgasm, I step back and zip up.

Emily wrestles with her jeans. I watch her perfectly-shaped ass disappear and miss the view already.

I give her a spin, pulling her towards me to fasten the button at the front myself.

She looks up curiously. My thumbs trace the bare skin of her belly as my hands linger at the waistband. Her lips are parted and her face is still flushed.

I suppress a grin.

Hooking her by the waist, I pivot us around the corner to let her see how close we are to the road.

“Oh shit!” Her eyes widen. People are literally walking right by us.

Nowthat’sa thrill.

Tipping her chin up with the same hand that wound through her hair so possessively earlier, I lean us back against the wall, this time at the side of the building for everyone to see us.

My thumb skims her jawline. I caress her gently, memorizing every detail of her face from the furrow between her hazel blue eyes to the freckles across the narrow bridge of her button nose and the full, defined shape of lips.

I can read the question on her face before she speaks.

“Why would you choose to share me with your brother?” she asks, her brow scrunched in confusion.

I narrow my eyes on her, my comeback ready. “Maybe I like watching him fuck you while your eyes are on me, anticipating my next move, wondering whether I’ll join in or just get my fill watching,” I insinuate with a smirk.

Tracing the bottom edge of her mouth, I lean in, my voice low. “And I’ll see your fear,” I stress. “The nervousness in your stare as it pins mine. I’ll see what you’re trying to hide. That you’re scared of me. Scared, because you don’t know the sick and depraved things I want to do to you. All the dirty fantasies I have. It’s the thrill of not knowing what to expect that will get you off. So… while he’s the one pounding into you, it will bemewho gets you off.Myeyes…mypresence pushing you over the edge. The chill creeping over your skin pulling your muscles and making your nipples hard, that’sme. And that gives me power. I want you afraid of me.”

I withdraw my hand and tug the mask back down over my face. “My brother may have you, but he will never own every part of you like I do.I’mthe one in your head. The one under your skin. You belong tome.”

Mace

Iroll onto my side, hugging my knees into my chest and curling inward.

“They’re going to pay,” Ash growls in a whisper. “For every punch… for every kick… for every—”

He doesn’t finish that last thought.

His voice sounds so far away, but I know he’s right behind me on the floor instead of in his own bed across the room. I don’t know why. I don’t want him anywhere near me.

Thomas and Johnathan dropped us off at home. We’re back in our parents’ shitty apartment. But with an abusive father who has sick friends and even worse enemies he owes money to, and a mother who drinks to escape, we’re not much better off here. We’re no more than a means of payment.

No one will protect us. No one cares.

I blink and wipe the tear that runs down the side of my face before it can soak into the pillow.

“We’re going to make them pay for everything,” Ash resumes. “We’re in this together,Mace. You and I.”

He doesn’t reach out his hand—doesn’t try to touch me. And I’m glad. Because in that moment, I don’t know what I’d do. In that moment, I hate him.

I hate my brother.

For no other reason than them picking me out of the two of us.

Of course I hate them, too, for what they put us through, but they’re no longer breathing, so that only leaves him.
