Sally: Epic.
Skye: I’m so proud

“By three, he looked sick.” Nicole stretches next to me on the studio’s fake wood floor. We’ve grabbed our usual spot at the front of the class, near the wall-to-wall mirrors for the people in other classes who actually know how to dance.
“Really?” I say with glee.
“Yeah, he didn’t even have his suit jacket on, because he was sweating.”
I try not to think about the image of him with his jacket off. “He can’t even hear the music in his office with the door closed, can he?”
“I bet he still can a little bit. You had it cranked so much, Margaret left at lunchtime.”
I snicker as I switch from stretching over my left-wide leg to my right. “Did you see his face during the HR meeting? It was like he was gray and ashy but also blushing purple at the same time.” I chuckle. “It was a little disturbing, if I’m being honest.”
Nicole sighs.
“What?” I ask her, urgent because our Zumba instructor looks like she’s about to start our class.
She hesitates with her words. “Just feel kinda bad for the guy.”
“Um, what? You feel bad for Chief Bosshole? C’mon, you’re my best friend! You have to be on Team Sam here!”
“I am, you’re right. You’re right. I just . . . think a little goes a long way with him, is all, and I love you, but we both know your personality is anything but little.”
I roll my eyes as we get up on our feet. I do feel a pang of guilt for a second. If she thought today was bad, my bestie definitely won’t approve of what I have planned for tomorrow.
“Who’s ready to dance off some calories!” our peppy little teacher yells.
“I am!” I yell back.

MONDAY 7:56a.m.
Me: Operation Rue Day 2
Today I will be using Darrin’s office while he is out
It shares a wall with The King of the North
Did you know I like to blast rock music while I work? ;)
Susan: Poor Emerson
Sadie: Is this with the pop music still going in the hall?
Yep
Skye: Brutal. It’s perfect.
I also may drop things and slam some binders shut
Who knows, I can be klutzy sometimes
Sally: This is my new favorite way to be woken up for class.
