I send Jake a text telling him I’ll swing by later to get them and wait for her to pack a bag. I told her to grab whatever she needed to stay with me for a while. We can come back and get more but as far as I’m concerned she’s staying with me.

I haven’t slept next to her yet but I already know I never want to go to bed any other way. Plus, the last time she was in my room it was without me and I need to rectify that immediately. I want a fucking redo.

ME:

Make sure to pack that green silk nightie

BIRDIE:

Which one?

Which one?How many does she have? It doesn’t matter, I want to see them all.

ME:

All of them

BIRDIE:

“I want to see you in every single one,” I tell her as soon as she picks up the phone. I couldn’t wait any longer for her to respond and those three dots were fucking with me the longer she typed back.

“I hope ya like green then,” she says with a sweet little happy laugh that sounds so fucking cute.

“It’s my favorite when you have it on,” I tell her, thinking about her in that green dress she wore when she sang.

“Oh yeah?” I swear she just purred and it’s got me wanting her all to myself. There’s too many people around and I jog around the building and into the wooded area.

“Yup. And I wanna see you in each and every single fucking one before I strip you out of them. I want you standing in my room like you were that night.” I tell her while slipping into my spot behind the big trees.

“It was actually your doorway.”Like I’d ever forget.

“Oh I remember, gorgeous. But there’s no way I’m letting anyone else see you but me.” I watch her blinds rise up in her bedroom window revealing her stunning silhouette.

“I felt so silly answerin’ the door like that, I was tryin’ to get your attention.” I’m such a fucking idiot for making this perfect girl feel like that.

“You’ve always had my attention, you've been the center of it since August 22nd.” I’m as sincere as possible when I tell her this and hope like hell she believes me.

“You remember the date?”Abso-fucking-lutely I do.

“I remember the way I felt the first time I saw you,” I tell her and shake my head in disbelief that we’ve finally fallen into place. “Just like I remember the way your eyes glowed when you opened my bedroom door in that silk nightie, now let's go home so I can add how you look in all that green to my list of unforgettable moments.” I want her in my bed this time. I want her spread out for me like a pretty star.

“I’m comin’ down now,” she says as her light goes out. I can hear her scrambling around.

“Take your time, Birdie, there’s no rush.”

“Oh there certainly is a rush. You’re takin’ me home this minute, you’ve got me all worked up again.”Yes, ma’am.

“Is that right?” My voice gives away to every filthy fucking thought thats running through my head.

“See ya in a minute, rascal,” she says when I hear the ding of the arriving elevator before she hangs up the phone.

I keep an eye out and carefully loop around to the front of the building to wait for her when I see him sitting on a bench. I swear on The Miracle on Ice that I feel a volcanic surge of anger and adrenaline erupt through my veins. He looks even douchier than usual with a stupid gas station rose laying next to him.

“Why the fuck are you here?” I shout and storm over to him as he pops up to his feet. I stare his ass down and he looks like a fucking deranged maniac smiling back at me.

“To win,” he says with crazy eyes and a strung out look on his face. What the fuck? To win what?
