She bites my lip and then nods. “And you’re mine, Blake.”

There is nothing more adorable than Harper waking up in the morning. She wakesslowly.First, her legs start to move, stretching out. Then she wiggles her fingers and toes.

She still hasn’t opened her eyes.

She lets out a little squeak as she stretches her arms above her head, and then one eye slits open to take in her surroundings.

“Good morning, baby.”

I kiss her cheek, and she hums. No words for my girl yet.

“Did you sleep well?”

She nods and then curls into me, clinging to me.

SoI kiss her head and breathe her in.

“I’m going to run down and get us coffee.”

“Mm-hmm.”

Her hands find my torso, and she scowls. “Dressed.”

“Yep. I can’t go to the coffee shop naked, baby.”

She lets out a long breath and blinks both eyes open. “Thank you.”

“For what?”

“The coffee.” She kisses my chin before burying herself back under the blankets.

I grab my wallet and room key, and leave our room, making sure the door is secure behind me. Not that anything could possibly hurt her here.

I hear another door open and look up to see Brooks headed my way. If I’m not mistaken, he looks like he might crack a smile.

This resort has been good for all of us.

“Coffee?” I ask him.

“Hell yes,” he replies.

We walk shoulder to shoulder down the hallway to the stairs that lead to the first floor.

“I like Harper,” he says.

“I do, too.”

“Her family seems nice. Her brother, Xander, is a hockey player. We talked about hockey all damn night.” Brooks is a big hockey fan. Always has been. “And it’s good to see Tucker and Remington. Holden.”

“So you’re glad you came.”

“Yeah. It’s cool.”

I smile over at him. “I think Ava’s single?—”

“No.”

I laugh as we descend the stairs.
