I moved to Erain, my fingers trying to pull the ropes loose at least.

His eyes popped open.

“Piper!” he choked out, tears at the corners of his eyes. “Be—careful, Piper. I don’t want to—go feral and hurt you.”

Rook and Teddy made muffled protests too, their eyes wide and alarmed.

I saw shifter features move rapidly across their bodies—a sheen of silver, a glimpse of wolfish jaws, a flash of predator yellow in their eyes.

But I wasn’t the slightest bit nervous.

“You’renotgoing to go feral,” I said crossly, tugging at the ropes across Erain’s chest and then trying to gnaw on them with my teeth, moving to Teddy’s chest to pull at the knots there.

I suddenly remembered a nail file in my cross-body bag and I leaped for it, sawing at Rook’s ropes, then Teddy’s, then Erain’s, my fingers working in a frenzy.

As soon as I got the ropes around Rook’s mouth loosened he gasped out, “So you forgive us?”

The desperate wild tone in my First Alpha’s voice made heat bloom between my legs, the way the muscles in his throat contracted.

Slick began to pump from my body, soaking my panties and dripping down my thighs.

“Yes, I do,” I said. “I guess I love you damn Alphas.”

Rook threw his head back and howled, a release of pure triumph and then he began to tear the rest of the ropes from his body.

“Be careful!” I yelped, but it was no use.

Once I had loosened the knots, they tore through the ropes with Alpha strength, and I sucked in my breath as I heard the sizzle of the silver burn through their flesh.

But it was like they didn’t even care about the pain.

I gasped at their raw Alpha power, the way their muscles moved and glistened with sweat, the lines of the silver at first deep, painful scarlet, then rapidly healing.

“You forgive me?” Erain gasped as soon as he had torn off the ropes from across his mouth.

His arms were around me, holding me tight, and I felt his heart pounding.

“I forgive you,” I said, my heart in my throat as I felt his heartbeat in my own chest cavity.

He bent and kissed me, tasting like winter snow and bright-white heat, one hand on my waist, drawing me closer to him so I could feel the harsh press of his cock on my belly.

“Knot me,” I ordered. “I’m fucking boiling here.”

In one second he had yanked at the strings of his athletic pants, but Rook knocked his hand away.

“We are going to do this in order,” he barked. “To make sure it’s the best for Piper. This is a second chance she’s giving us and we aren’t going to screw it up.”

With one hand, he drew me into a side room and kicked the door shut behind us.

With relief, I noticed that there were also heat facilities here, so there would be a bed just barely big enough for all of us to fit on.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” Erain said over and over again as he captured my mouth with his. “I was an idiot, I was a moron. I don’t deserve you, Piper.”

“All right,” I said, my heart starting to pound at the bruising, passionate force of his kiss. “I’m over the topic of you cheating. It’s not of general interest. Don’t be boring me with this anymore,” I added, softening my words by running my hand down his taut chest and belly until I hovered my hands over his engorged cock.

He groaned loudly. “Oh, baby, that feels like nothing on earth. Touch me. . . please. However you want to.”

But Rook was gently lying me down on the bed.
