I rushed to my feet and out of the lounge area so that I could hear her.
“What’s wrong, baby girl?”
“It’s Mommy,” she cried and flipped the camera. My stomach plummeted when I saw her mother and father tussling. He had Lani hemmed up to the car against her car with his hands around her neck. Si and her grandmother were trying to get her free. I didn’t even know her and Granny were together.
“Jocey, baby, where are you?”
“At Daddy’s.” She sniffled.
“Okay, baby stay on the phone with me, I’m on the way okay.”
“Okay.”
My heart broke just listening to her cry. Dominique was by my side trying to figure out what was going on, but I didn’t have time to explain. I needed to get to my family quickly.
The ride over felt like an eternity when it was only twenty minutes in reality. Tossing my phone in the backseat, I hopped out Dominique’s car before he even completely stopped.
“Grab the twins,” I tossed over my shoulder.
I took long, quick strides over to where Kehlani was in a verbal battle with her baby daddy and sent my fist crashing into the side of his face. Not wanting to take advantage of his weak ass, I allowed him to regain his footing before I delivered another blow to the face. It was on from there. He started to fight back, but his hits felt like pillows.
Bitch ass nigga.
Wrapping him in my arms, I lifted him, then body slammed him before placing a knee in his chest and waling on his face. I imagined his face to be one of the punching bags I used at the gym.
“Javyous! Stop!” Kehlani screamed. “You’re going to kill him, baby!”
It was then when I realized that he was no longer fighting back. He was laying there not moving at all.Nigga’s out cold.
Hopping up, I grabbed Lani and Granny’s hands and led them to her car. After getting them inside, I told my cousin to meet me at my crib and burnt rubber to get out of there. I was fuming the entire ride and ignoring my wife’s cries for me to slow down.
Whipping into the parking spot in front of our crib, I opened their doors to let them out of the car before heading inside. I knew Dominique would get them inside and make sure they were straight for me. I needed to put distance between me and everybody.
Going into our bathroom, I turned the water on and started to wash the blood from my knuckles and hands. I had scrapes and cuts on my shit from either the ground or that nigga’s teeth. When I was done, I turned the water off and grabbed the first aid kit from under our cabinet and went to the bed so I could patch my shit up.
Kehlani joined me shortly after, but I ignore her presence. That was best for the both of us. After getting my hand and shittogether, I went to the closet and grabbed my gym bag. It already had all my shit that I needed inside of it, so I didn’t have to pack anything.
“Where are you going?”
Kehlani was positioned in front of our bedroom door.
“Watch out.” My eyes were hard on her, so I knew she could gauge exactly how I was feeling.
Not in the fucking mood for her ass.
“Tell me where you’re going.”
“I don’t have to tell you shit,” I spat.
“I’m your wife Javy?—”
“Yeah, you are. My very mothafuckin’ pregnant wife that had her stupid ass in the exact place that I told younotto be. Move, man.”
“I had to go back. Si left his iPad and?—”
“And you just had to ask him why he called you out of your name, right?”
“Yes!” she screeched. “I’m the mother of his children and?—”
