“Okay. Come see her anytime.”
“Okay.” She pulls away from me and then gives me a soft punch in the bicep. “See ya tomorrow, boss man.”
“You do realize I’ll be helping my dad with the gazebo again today?”
She looks a little disappointed to hear this. I get it. She needs time to transition to assistant mode. “Right,” she says. “Well, I’ll probably be inside reading really interesting books about the commercial real estate business all day, so…”
“Sure. That sounds way more fun than seeing me all sweaty and shirtless. See ya tomorrow.”
She rolls her eyes and grins at me as she heads for the front door. “You better wear a shirt to the office.”
