He nodded.

Oh. My. Stars.

“I love you, Nola Kope.”

I smiled up at him, “I love you, Xander Kope.”

Then he winked, “Care to get out of here?”

I took in the heated gaze he gave my body, then I giggled and nodded.

He winked as he lifted me bridal style and carried me out of the clubhouse.

All the while, Jury and Wolf hollered, “But the cake!”

He didn’t slow in his steps, and I didn’t loosen my grip I had around his shoulders.

When we reached his bike, he winked, then lowered me down.

He helped me with my helmet, then he pulled his on.

It was a tight fit, but I managed it as I climbed onto the bike.

And the moment he was in front of me, he started the bike, and I felt a moan escape my lips.

He heard it.

I knew that when he tilted his head and winked.

We made the drive home, and what I saw, candles lined the walkway to the old Victorian we called home. I gasped, “What?”

I climbed off the bike with his help and then took off my helmet.

He winked down at me, “Had some help from the brothers.”

I laughed.

Hand in hand, we walked up the walkway as I took in the candles that seemed to glow even brighter as we passed them one by one.

And the moment we stepped onto the front porch, he dropped my hand, then moved to unlock the front door.

And the moment he pushed it open; he bent and picked me up.

I laughed as I settled into his arms, and then I couldn’t wait anymore.

I slammed my lips onto his.

Hs growl followed shortly after.

His moan lit up my core.

I didn’t recall him closing the door.

I didn’t recall my body moving as he carried me up the stairs.

I didn’t recall being carried into our bedroom.

What I did recall was the feel of his lips on mine.
