I watch him gear up while I’m sorting myself, trying to tame the butterflies in my stomach before we miss an entire day of school and work. Leather jacket on top of his Savage Kings cut, his heavy motorcycle boots, that badass swagger… By the time he hands me my helmet, I’m about to jump his bones again. Oh Lord.

“Ready, angel?”

“Yes, Daddy.” His responding bright grin makes my heart swell.

The ride to campus is amazing as always. With my arms wrapped around Havoc’s waist, the engine rumbling under us; the wind whipping through. I grew to love this sense of freedom, the rush, the trust involved in holding on to someone while they handle a beast at high speed.

He pulls up in front of the education department, ignoring theno parking signs like they don’t apply to him. Which, knowing my guy, they probably don’t in his mind.

Students are already staring as I climb off, pulling off my helmet. Havoc dismounts too, taking the helmet from me and hanging it on the bike. Then, in front of everyone, he cups my face and kisses me. And it’s not a quick peck. Nope, it’s an actual tongue-fucking, lip-sucking, pussy-melting, nipples-hardening, panty-ruining kiss that makes my knees weak and passersby loudly whisper, and some even catcall.

“Have a good day, angel,” he says when he pulls back. “I’ll pick you up at four.”

“Havoc,” I whisper-shout, my face burning. “Everyone’s watching.”

“Good.” He grins big, bright, beautiful, and completely unrepentant. “Let ‘em know who’s your daddy.”

My brain can’t decide between irritation and swooning. But then he kisses me again, quick this time, thank God for small mercies, then swings back on his bike. The engine roars to life; I get one last chin jerk behind his tinted helmet visor, then he’s gone, leaving me standing there with what I’m sure is a huge, heart-eyes smile on my face.

“Tyra!”

I turn to find my best friend Mia hurrying over, with a huge smile.

“So… I see things are going great with Mr. mountain man, kidnapper?”

I laugh. “Havoc did not kidnap me. We were stuck in a snowstorm.”

“Right… and you moving out of our place right when you came back has nothing to do with Stockholm Syndrome. Got it.” I shake my head, rolling my eyes, but I can’t hold back my own smile. “Not that I’m complaining about having the entire place to myself and your share of the rent paid for until I decide to move out.”

“I bet.” Yup, he did that shit. My daddy’s the best.

“But give me a break. I need time to get used to the idea of my bestie dating a bona fide outlaw biker.” She’s still grinning mischievously, like the pest she is. “Quiet, straight-A student, Tyra Keys is dating a badass zaddy who looks likethat. And kisses you likethat…in public.”

I can’t help but laugh, feeling my face heat again. “I hate you.”

“Nah, you love me.” She winks before hooking her arm with mine as we walk toward the building. “But seriously, you look happy, Ty. Like, really happy.”

“I am, babe,” I reply dreamily. “I really am.”

Later that afternoon, I’m sitting in the student lounge studying when my phone buzzes.

I smile at the text. I pack up my things and head out, finding my guy leaning against his bike in the same spot as this morning. A few students are not-so-subtly checking him out, but his eyes are only on me. This man…

“Hey, angel,” he says, pulling me in for a hug, his big, gloved hands on my lower back, ridiculously handsome face close to mine, making up my entire world. And everything falls into place, feeling exactly right.

We exchange a quick peck. Mmmm, full lips, scruff that makes my skin tingle, my man’s strong, warm body, the smell of him…

“You had a good day?”

“Yeah, even better now.” I breathe him in - leather, pine, and that scent that’s uniquely Havoc.

“Wanna go out for dinner?”
