“Bye.” I waved as I gripped the door handle.

“Aye,” he called out to me, halting my movements. “I love you.”

Sadly, I grinned widely like a lovesick fool before saying, “I love you too.” As Low sped off while I stepped inside of the house, I spotted all my sisters and Kailey’s ass too. “Bitch, you here already?” I shut the door behind me, smiling at her swaying along to to “Planez” by Jeremih right along with Analicia and Kabrina.

The rest of the ladies were scattered around, sipping on cocktails or eating hors d'oeuvres while the chef and his assistant whipped up food in the open kitchen, and the bartender made Yolani and Bambi a drink.

“Get your drink and catch up!” Couture beamed, nodding her head toward the bar area as Scotland, Anastazia, Presley, Kailey, Kabrina, and Analicia rushed over to embrace me.

“I see I need to. Is everybody drinking? Usually, someone is always pregnant and can’t drink,” I said, sweeping the room to check the ladies’ cups.

“Nope, all is good tonight!” Yolani held her coupe glass in the air as the rest of the ladies cosigned.

I went to the bar and chose a special drink from the specially created menu, courtesy of Asif’s people, and chose the watermelon lemon drop which I saw a few of the ladies drinking on.

“It’s fire! I’m on my third!” Kailey let me know from the RH cloud couch she was seated on.

“Same.” Presley clinked her glass to Kailey’s.

“Oh my gosh.” I giggled, overjoyed at seeing her bond with my family.

After getting my drink, I went to join the rest of the women in conversation. We chatted, joked, danced, and sang along to our favorites for the next hour or so, until the chef’s assistant let us know it was time to eat.

The charbroiled oysters with Cajun butter, cheese, and breadcrumbs had been amazing, so I was excited for the entrees.

On tonight’s menu was your choice of wagyu steak, truffle butter scallops, or three cheese stuffed chicken, plus choice of sides which consisted of sweet potato casserole, lobster macaroni and cheese, bacon balsamic Brussel sprouts, and crab fried rice.

We’d all been given dinner cards to check off what we wanted with unlimited options, so once seated, the plates were delivered to us.

We scarfed down our food over plentiful conversation that had begun to veer off into tipsy territory since we kept the drinks coming as we ate, barely drinking the water and fountain drinks provided.

“Okay. I took it off before coming in here, but now I can put it back since everyone is here,” Bambi announced after polishing off another watermelon lemon drop, lapping up the yellow sugar along the rim.

The ladies screeched excitedly as I was late to catch onto the wedding band resting next to her big ass engagement rock. A bluster of congratulations and questions rang out over the room as the vodka I’d been consuming coursed through me.

“Wait, then what is all the wedding planning for?” Couture questioned. “I was excited to be maid of honor.” She slurred slightly.

“That’s all still going on, but a feeling just overcame us one night, so we got married. We didn’t wanna wait any longer.” Bambi beamed, looking happy as hell and making me smile lazily from being tipsy.

Pulling out my phone, I shot off a text to my man.

Me: have your dikk outtt as soon as you

Me: pull upppp

Low-Low: Yes ma’am. You lit. I’m excited.

I smirked, locking my phone and placing it back down on the table.

“Your wedding is in four months,” Scotland reminded her, causing the table to chuckle.

“Four months too long!” Bambi exclaimed, extending the laughter.

“Well I know the feeling,” Couture said.

And she did, considering she and my brother randomly got married during one of his tours. It wasn’t surprising, considering how in love they were—from what I heard since I was too young to recognize such a thing—but it was shocking all the same since no one knew until years later.

“See. I knew you’d get it.” Bambi smiled.
