Knocking, I stepped back and pushed my mask up because I was sure Boyce wasn’t dumb enough to open the fucking door for a nigga wearing one. I’d hoped Gaia had at least taught the nigga some street smarts.

“Hey, do you work for—” He stumbled back as soon as he pushed open the screen door since I’d advanced on his ass.

“Gaia is done for, nigga. You should’ve just moved the fuck on with yo’ life,” I told him, taking my heat off my hip and removing the safety.

“Please, if you just give us the money for bail, I swear to God, I will get her out and flee. If I knew where her money was, I would use it, but I don’t!”

“Niggas gon’ lose they life behind friendly pussy for the remaining years humans have on this earth, huh?” I shook myhead in disbelief as I twisted on the silencer at the fact that this nigga was willing to risk it all to save a bitch who hopped on other nigga’s dicks.

Soon as I finished, Boyce tried to rush me, causing me to punch his ass in the stomach, dropping him.

“Mr.—” He coughed, clutching his abdomen while sputtering. I sent a kick into his ass just for the fuck of it, making him howl out.

I sent off three silent shots into his face when he opened his mouth again to form words. This shit had taken even longer than I’d planned.

As he lay there bleeding out into his carpet with his eyes wide, I turned my back to the nigga and crept out the same way I’d come in like it was nothing.

Automatically, because I’d done this shit so many times, I drove to the warehouse, smoked, showered, brushed my teeth, then hopped into my own whip before peeling off toward Banks’s townhome.

I had a surprise for my baby and didn’t want that impromptu murder getting in the fucking way.

Pulling up, I used my key to step inside and was instantly hit with the smell of well-seasoned meat, so I knew it was them good ass steaks she made.

“I knew it,” I said as soon as I entered the kitchen to wash my hands as she decorated the baked potatoes with toppings.

“You didn’t know shit,” she joked, grinning as we kissed while I dried off my hands.

I sat at the table while she put the food on the plates and placed one in front of me, then where she planned to sit. Once she was ready, I tugged her chair out before sitting back down.

“This shit is never not fire when you make it.” I chomped on the steak.

“And to think I thought you weren’t gonna make it tonight. You’re like twenty minutes late.” She checked the face of her Rolex.

“Damn. Daddy been that prompt that I can’t be twenty minutes late?” I smirked.

“Yeah, you are prompt. I like that you stand behind what you say, even the time you plan to be here.” She leaned over to kiss me.

“I only do that with you, Peep. I be dragging my feet with other muthafuckas.” I scarfed down most of the buttery, salty potato dressed in bacon, cheese, and sour cream.

“Good. I like being special. I’m the only daughter, so I’ve been conditioned that way.” She smirked, making me chuckle.

We finished the food, her talking about ballet and how much better the vibe was in class now that Nikita wasn’t in it.

I made sure to promise Banks I hadn’t forgotten about Kailey. It was just the nigga who ran Prolific Pointe was elusive as fuck. He was one of those niggas who delegated tasks to everyone else so he could fuck off, and I couldn’t be mad at the nigga. That was what rich folk did.

“For you.” I handed a small box to Banks as soon as she was out the shower and in her short ass nightie. I loved that shit.

“What is this?” She beamed, tearing it open.

“Why do females ask that? Just open the shit and see.” I frowned as she sucked her teeth.

“A passport?” Her forehead creased before she opened it to see my photo, and her mouth fell open. “You got it?”

Banks always talked about wanting to go on what she called a baecation out of the country, but I didn’t have a passport. The dealings I’d done out of the country were made possible due to a private jet and private landings. They didn’t give a fuck or check none of that shit. Wherever Asif told them niggas to fly me, they did.

By saying that, I knew I needed to get my shit in order to be sure I took my baby on as many baecations as she wanted.

“I did.” I nodded my head. “We going on one of them baecations shit.”
