NOEL

Alittle over a month ago, I wasembracedby a master vampire, Lord Théoden. At the time, that was his title. He was well-known as the most vicious and highest ranking of the five Lords. He became the Prince of the City and was in complete control of New Haven, the vampires’ territory. I was promoted to one of his Generals, and tonight was going to be my first night to officially hold that title. My training with my oldest brother, Marco, was over and I knew how to use all my abilities. And what cool fucking abilities they proved to be.

I could control fire and had an immunity to it, as well as to the sun. Other vampires not of my Father’s line would be killed by the sun’s rays, but not us. Our ability to walk in the sun wasn’t public knowledge, and that was how Théoden wanted to keep it. We did it when we had to and that was that. It worked for me, the night life was so much better when you were a vampire.

In the beginning, I didn’t want to be a vampire. As a matter of fact, I had hated all supes; vampires, werewolves, and dragons. They had taken over the world and I had been a rebel hell-bent on destroying them and reclaiming what had once belonged to humans. I had been a fool. Since becoming a vampire, I realized just how powerless humans were compared to us. It had been a hard pill to swallow, having to accept that what I had believed in as a human was all a joke.

Since then, I’d embraced myembracing, you could say. I loved being a vampire, and I even had a son of my own I was training. I was looking forward to acting out my duties as a General in my Father’s, Prince Théoden’s, territory, especially since I would get to have my son by my side as an enforcer. I was going to make Théoden and my seven remaining brothers proud of me. Besides, I had to honor the sacrifice my brother, Ryu, made to save my life during a recent attack on our home from a werewolf Alpha, Josef, of the River Rock territory.

Ryu died so I could live, and I was going to be one bad ass vampire General to honor him. It was what he would have wanted. As for my other brothers, they were proud of me and how far I’d come since my human rebel days. Marco especially, since he was the one responsible for training me. My sire, Théoden, was also very pleased with my progress, and I was looking forward to proving to him that I was worthy of his immortal gift. Tonight should be full of great things.

ELIJAH

To say I wasn’t nervous about this plan we’d concocted would be a flat-out lie. Tomorrow night was the full moon, and if everything went according to how we had worked it out, I should be safely back in the arms of my mate, Deacon, before it was time for our pack gathering. It seemed like a lifetime ago when I had been human and happy to just serve as a cop in the New Haven police force. I was chosen by Prince Théoden as payment in flesh to the Forest Grove Alpha werewolf, Deacon, in a deal the two had made.

At first, I wanted nothing to do with Deacon, but after he bit me and turned me into a wolf, I started to feel a strong connection pulling me closer to him. Turns out, I was his fated mate, which was something he had suspected the moment he’d laid eyes on me. We had a rough and rocky start, but I thought we were both finding our footing in this relationship. As much as I hadn’t wanted to admit it to myself, let alone to Deacon… the fact was, I loved him.

My love for him was the reason I was willing to go through with this kidnapping plan. See, my mate was greedy for territory, just like most wolves, I was learning. He’d plotted to turn Prince Théoden against his own rival wolf Alpha, Josef. And all would have worked out perfectly if not for Dante. That had been the wrench in the plan.

Deacon hadn’t known at the time when he accepted me and four other humans as payment and/or trade that he was giving Théoden the one being who could undo his well-laid plans. See, Théoden had commissioned, so to speak, Deacon to track down Dante, as the half-breed was hiding in Deacon’s territory. For that, Deacon wanted five million dollars and five humans to replace the wolves of his pack who had been killed in Dante’s rebel attacks.

Dante was Josef’s long-awaited mate and now, Théoden’s son. A hybrid, the only one of his kind. Half wolf, half vampire, and with Théoden’s own unique vampire-dragon hybrid blood flowing through his veins, it had made Dante immune to the deadly dragon venom as well. That was about as much as I knew, and half of it was rumor. How much truth was in it, I wasn’t sure. But I knew for a fact that Dante was Josef’s mate. With Dante and Josef joining forces soon, the plan my mate had carried out by killing a member of both Théoden’s and Josef’s brood would become their focus.

I couldn’t have them killing Deacon if they figured out he was behind the murders of their vampire and wolf, so that was why I decided to go through with a plot to be kidnapped. If we could shift the blame to a human rebel group and away from Deacon, I would be happy. In the next twenty-four hours, we would see if this plan worked. If it didn’t, then all hope would be lost and I would be dead.

I didn’t have much to tell at this time. I was promised a wolf pup of my own for assisting Prince Théoden when I helped defend his home, family, and territory from a pack of wolves a few weeks ago. Of course, I was the picky sort. I didn’t want just any old wolf from Josef’s pack. Oh no, I’d had my eyes on a pretty little human ripe for the plucking. His name was Isiah and he lived in the dragons’ territory, Celestial Gardens.

Now, humans were safe in our territory, for the most part, as long as they obeyed the laws. Sure, they had to serve our sexual desires, because that was how we fed. They didn’t complain much, it was a better trade for safety than what the vampires and wolves offered. The bite of a vampire was extremely painful, well, with the exception of Théoden and his boys. His dragon blood made their feeding pleasurable for humans. But other vampires were brutal and didn’t care at all about giving humans pleasure. Wolves, they could care less as well and would sooner eat you than give a shit if you enjoyed their cocks in your ass or pussy.

Dragons were different. We prided ourselves on bringing humans to the highest point of ecstasy. The more a human enjoyed what we did to them, the better the meal tasted and felt to us. We thrived and grew stronger when we fed off sexual desire and sensation. We had the best deal going on for the humans. Live in our territory and you were allowed to have a normal life with the occasional visit from a dragon. Small price for what we offered, which was protection from other supes.

As for Isiah, well, he’d been one of those humans who didn’t really appreciate our protection or generosity the way I thought he should. I’d fucked him twice, and he had been a little fucking ingrate both times, in spite of me making him see stars when he came. Oh well, what he didn’t know was that I had plans for his ass… granted, I had to get my King’s approval first. I was still waiting on that, but I was hoping King Evander would let me have my way.

If he did, I was about to teach Isiah all kinds of new tricks.

DOMINIC

As the new leader of our little rebel group, I had to make sure that whatever we did, we had to do it smart. Losing Dante to the vampires had given us a serious fucking blow, but that didn’t mean our mission would be derailed. We had a plan in the works that could put our group on the map. However, I was conflicted as hell about it and its presenter. A little over two weeks ago, we welcomed a new member into our ranks: Chandler.

He came with all of this enthusiasm about how he’d taken out two supes recently, a vampire and a werewolf, and how he had big plans for taking down an Alpha wolf. Everyone in my group seemed to be eager to listen to his plan, and even I had to admit it sounded pretty good. I’d wanted nothing more than to kill that son of a bitch, Deacon, for what he had done to Dante, Corey, Tully, Wallace and Jackson. I swore, if I ever got my hands on that backstabber, Victor, I would make him wish he was dead. It was because of my history with him that I didn’t fucking trust Chandler.

The son of a bitch talked a good game, saying shit everybody wanted to hear, including me, but I had learned that when something seemed too good to be true, it usually was. Still, did I kick him out of our group because I didn’t trust him the way everyone else did, or did I take the chance to make a real change? Shit… decisions, decisions. Maybe I would see all of this through and, if we were successful, I could finally avenge Dante whom Deacon had given over to those fucking vampires. God, I hated them all and wished they’d all go back to hell where they had come from.

KENDRICK

I’d been extremely patient regarding my plans to take over Odin Colony. With so many supes already controlling it, one couldn’t just rush in thinking they were going to be victorious. Yes, I was half wolf and half dragon, which meant I was immune to both venoms, as were some members of my pack, but that didn’t make us invincible. If I wanted to control all of Odin, I needed to play it smart.
