“Yeah, I know.I, erm, I didn’tread mine.I looked it over, was scared, and saw no other choice soI signed it.I didn’t even see a future with another man.I didn’tconsult a lawyer or ask for help, I just signed it.According tohim, I signed an agreement to stay married until one of our deaths.I don’t even know if that’s possible.”She wiped a hand down herface trying to clear her thoughts.
“Thenemploy a lawyer and get him to lookthrough it.I can get Daddy to hire him if you want?”
“Would you do that for me?”Kelsey asked.
“Yes, I would do anythingfor you. You’re my friend.”
“He threatened Killer and theclub, Tate.I don’t know what he knows, but he seems to know alot.”
“Honey, my dad and the club arefine. They’ll deal with everything head on.From now on, I don’tthink you should be keeping secrets like this. This is bignews.Theclub will be pissed, but in time they’ll get over it.”
Nodding, Kelsey listened to Tate talkabout her son and how Murphy’s recovery was going. She smiled, laughed, and when night fell she saw her friend out to Murphy, whowas waiting for her.
Closing and locking her apartment door,Kelsey cleaned away the mess from cooking and drinking and took hertime in the shower. When she was finished she sat down on her bedthinking over her life since meeting Michael. There was nothingabout him in the media to let her know who he actually was.He wasa handsome man, and if he was worth a lot of money then surely hewould be known for his company and wealth?
She lay down, hoping Michael was lying andhe’d leave The Skulls alone.Thinking about Killer brought tears toher eyes. What was she going to do about him?She loved him somuch.Covering her face with her hands, she let the tears finallyfall.Killer had invaded her apartment and then invaded her heart. She’d done more with him than she ever imagined she’d do in anentire lifetime.
Kelsey really hoped Killer wouldlisten to herwhen she finally got the chance to explain. She owed him somuch.
Chapter Three
Mouthtasting like shit, Killer rolled overfeeling the effects of the alcohol he’d consumed the night before.Wiping a hand down his face, he groaned feeling the headache thatwas sure to kill what the alcohol failed to do.
“Fuck,” he muttered, rolling ontohis stomach. He was too close to the end of the bed and sank to thefloor. No more nights out with Zero and Steven. Those men knew howto party, andtoward the end of the night, he’d fucked the redhead multiple timesbefore … shit, he couldn’t remember a fucking thing.
When he got back to the club themen had partied with him and partied hard. They had hisback, andKiller had felt it for the first time since joining The Skulls.Heno longer felt like an outsider looking in.
“There you are.I waswondering when you were going to wake up.”
Turning his head he saw the redhead he’dscrewed last night entering his room at the clubhouse. He didn’town a place to crash and either stayed at the clubhouse or atKelsey’s.Kelsey, shit, he’d fucked another woman trying to forgetabout her, and now he felt fucking dirty.Regret filled him as thelast night’s exploits started to come to him.
“What the fuck are youdoing here?”he asked, getting to his feet. The light shiningthrough the window was hurting his fucking eyes.
“You ordered meback.”
“I was completely smashed, andyou think I wanted you to follow me?”He got to his feet not caringabout his nakedness.
“All night you were takingme around back, fucking me or getting me to suck you.You told me Iwasn’t leaving until you fucked every hole I possessed on a nicewarm bed,” redhead said.
Scrunching his face up in disgust helooked at her.“And you still followed me back here?Jesus fuckingChrist.I need a shower.”
He left her alone while he took a red hotshower.Fuck, he’d been with a woman who wasn’t Kelsey.Regardlessof what happened yesterday he shouldn’t have been with anotherwoman.Crap, she was married to another man. What the fuck was hesupposed to do?On the one hand he felt guilt, and on the other, hefelt justified in finding another woman.
After he scrubbed his body with a hardbrush, washed his mouth out and completely rid his body of thenight’s shame, he climbed out to find Tate standing inside hisbedroom with her arms folded.
“What do you want?”heasked.
“Nice shiner you gotthere.”
Touching his face, Killer hadforgotten all about the hit Tiny gave him.“Courtesy of yourfather.”
She smirked.“So I’ve got rid of the twoskanks you and Zero brought home. They’re on their way, and I thinkyou’re a fucking bastard.”
“You know what, you can talk shitto your dad and your man, but I don’t got to take it.Get the fuckout of my room.”He brushed past her not caring that he shoved hera little.Out of all of the women he never liked Tate. She was afirst class bitch, but Murphy was in love.Guy was a fucking foolfor falling for such a bitch.“You gonna run off to Daddy?Tell himto black the other eye?”
“Is this the real you, Killer? Are you a bastard in real life?Screwing whoever you want andleading women on by bringing them back here? The redhead reallythought she was sticking around.”Tate followed him in to hisbedroom and just kept talking. He wanted her to shut up.
Sitting on his bed, he stared at herwondering what it would take to get her out of his room.
