“You’re here! I never knew we were having guests! Hey, Sienna,” she says as she hugs her brother. Jayce smirks as he hugs her back, spinning her once before putting her down.

“Yeah, I didn’t realise we were either.”

“Shit… I need to go put some stuff back…” She glances down the stairs before she races off the way she came.

“Probably something from Theo or Ares’ rooms,” Jayce explains to me.

“Oh, now that makes sense. You’re not going to tell her Aresisn’t here?” I whisper.

“Na.”

I laugh softly at that as he opens a door, and I’m instantly hit by his scent. The moment he’s tugged me inside, he shuts the door and yanks me against him, making my head pound, my entire body coming to life with a wave of tingles.

I lock my arms around his neck as he lifts me up, and I wrap my legs around his waist as our lips collide. A soft moan leaves me as I kiss him hungrily. My head is giddy, and all I can think of is him. The way he tastes, the way he feels…

I whimper softly as his hands travel over my body, leaving a blazing trail of fire in his wake. His touch isn’t gentle either; it’s the touch of a man needing far more.

The adrenaline of the events still dances through us, but it’s the relief that heightens everything we feel.

I thread my fingers into his lush black locks and tug his head back, kissing his neck. I suck hard, biting down until I hear a low guttural growl. My heart pounds, feeling a wave of possessiveness consume me.

Mine.

I know we’re expected downstairs soon, but I need him, and I don’t need to tell him that. His hands are already roaming my body when suddenly there’s a light tap on the door, and then it opens.

“Jayce, could you- Aaah!” Aunty Raven screams as I jump down and away from Jayce, my cheeks burning, and I want the ground to open and swallow me whole.

“Ma…” Jayce runs his hand down his face.

“See nothing, hear nothing, speak nothing!” Aunty Ravensays as she slams the door shut, making me flinch.

Jayce sighs. “I’ll talk to her,” he says as he tugs me close, only for a loud knock on the door again.

“Can I come in?” It’s Aunty Raven. I blush, quickly moving away from Jayce.

“Sure.” Jayce crosses his arms as Aunty Raven peeks inside, her cheeks as red as mine. She plants her hands on her hips and looks up at Jayce, frowning. An expression I don’t think she makes often.

“Do you want to share something? The both of you?” she asks. I look down, twisting a strand of my hair.

“Mama knows, I told her,” I blurt out, glancing at Jayce, who looks surprised. “And so do Ahren and Tatum, and Allie and Heaven-”

“We get the picture, Darling,” Jayce says, trying to hide a smile.

Damn it, the girls are right, I can’t keep anything inside.

“Del knows?” Aunty Raven seems shocked before she looks between us. “But your dad doesn’t, does he?”

Jayce shakes his head. “In my defence, I wasn’t really that secretive, but Dad doesn’t really see what’s beneath his nose at times.”

Aunty Raven narrows her eyes at him, but she’s smiling. “No, he doesn’t, well… you’re both old enough to make your own decisions… but for the love of the Goddess, lock this door. Now I know how Aunty Red felt…” she mumbles before shaking her head and turning.

She pauses at the door and smiles at me. “I hope he’s treating you well?” she asks softly.

I nod. “Better than a girl can dream of.”

She nods, visibly feeling happy with that answer. “Good.” She leaves and shuts the door. “Lock it!”

Jayce goes over and does just that as I turn to him. “Please tell your dad before he finds out like this.”
