“I’llbe there.”Iwinked at my beautiful wife.
“Wearsomething hot,” she replied, her blue-violet eyes sparkling with sensuality.
Simmeringheat rose in the space between us, drawing awareness in between my legs.
Diegogroaned. “Savethe foreplay for later, will ya?” he teased.
GiannaandIboth laughed.Theothers were not as comfortable with their sensuality as my siren wife.
Diegorubbed his jawline. “Wheredid you come up with this idea?”
Shegestured with a carefree wave. “Ilike to keep things interesting.”
Shedid indeed, both in and out of the bedroom.Flashesof many of our hot nights played in my mind.
“Anyway, this idea was sparked by a skeleton outside the club.”Sheproceeded to describe her newest patron, and then added, “Halloweenis my favorite time of year.Whywait until the fall to celebrate it?”
Diegochortled with a grunt. “Becausethat’s the date on the calendar.”
“Merelynumbers,”Giannascoffed.Sheclapped her hands together. “Youall better come.Andmake sure you dress up in a costume.”
Diegogrumbled, butLucasclapped his hands with enthusiasm. “Theme.Weneed a theme,” he declared.
“Forthe six of us?”Diegosounded doubtful. “It’shard enough to get two people to agree on anything, let alone six.Noway amIgoing to try to coordinate a costume with a massive group.”
“Okay, goHanSolo,”Lucasteased.
“Therewill be more of us fromSalem,”Giannasaid. “Pandora,Austin,Cassandra, andValen…”
“IdoubtCassandrawill come,”Novasaid with a shake of her head. “Thispregnancy is draining her energy.”
“Can’timagine why,”Giannadrawled. “Carryinga child with shifter blood.”
Abolt of heat shot through me at the idea ofGiannacarrying our child.Mywolf, driven by instinct rather than common sense at times, was fully onboard with that plan.Thatwasn’t likely to happen anytime soon.Notonly were we unsure it was even possible to conceive with a mix of wolf shifter, siren, and human blood, but she wasn’t ready to become a mother.Truthfully,Ididn’t thinkIwas ready to be a parent either.
“I’llcome as a vampire,”Diegoquipped.
Giannawagged her finger at him. “Nope.Comeup with something else.I’msure you andNovacould pull off a cute couple something.”
Hegrimaced. “Vampiresare never ‘cute.’”
Lucaslaughed and put his hand onDiego’sshoulder. “Morelike grumpy.Cantankerous.Curmudgeonly.”
Diegoshook his hand off. “Youmade your point, scales-for-brains.”
“Andyou’re confirming mine.”Lucasgrinned from ear to ear.
Giannaturned toNovaandZoe. “Whatabout you two?Areyou in?”
“Yeah, sure,”Novasaid. “So,I’mguessingIcan’t come dressed as a witch?”Herlips quirked into a smile.
“Nope.Youcan’t dress up as what you are.”Giannaglanced atZoe. “Butif you went as each other.Novaas an elf andZoea witch, that would work.”
“Thatwould be easy,”Zoereplied. “Iwork with witches all day long.”Shetapped her lips. “ButI’lltry to think of something.”
Lucastook her hand and declared. “Couplecostume!”
“So, is everyone in?”Giannaasked.
