“Don’t worry, I won’t come back over tonight. The place is yours,” Diego said before leaving with Nova. Sometimes he came back to sleep in his room during the early hours of the morning.

After everyone had left, it was just Lucas and me in the living room.

“More champagne?” Lucas asked, raising a bottle.

“I’ve had plenty,” I responded.

The album that was playing ended. He put on Billy Idol’s “Flesh for Fantasy.”

“Ooh, I remember you and this song.” This was one that he’d danced for me in private. I’d been mesmerized and tongue-tied. When Lucas turned on the heat, it was a freakin’ inferno.

“We had a hot night.” He flashed a naughty smile.

We had indeed. “Are you gonna dance for me again, big boy?” I suggested with an arched brow.

“Now?”

“Yeah, now,” I encouraged.

“Only if you want me to, my mate.”

“I’d never say no to that,” I replied with a sly grin. “As long as we’re in private.”

“Your wish is my command, my lady.” He motioned at me. “Sit back and relax.”

I did indeed, ready to enjoy my private show.

He swayed with the music, moving his hips with a slow, sensuous grind.

Potent potions. I stared at him, mouth slightly dry. I couldn’t believe that this beautiful man with a heart of pure gold was mine.

Lucas danced using the seductive moves he’d perfected in the club.

He turned and then pushed his ass back. He glanced over his shoulder. “Do you like that?”

I lightly smacked his butt. “It’s impressive.”

He then twerked, and I laughed.

“How about that?”

“I like it a lot.” I smiled.

How lucky I was to find someone not just incredibly sexy, but with a great sense of humor. He was so good for me, breaking me out of that serious shell that I’d hidden in for so long.

“Good.” He moved his hips more slowly.

He faced me and then slowly removed his shirt, keeping his gaze fixed on me.

“How about this?” He rolled his torso, flexing his abs. He took my hand and placed it on his chest.

I trailed my fingers down his core, my fingers rising and falling with each subtle contour. “I love all of it.” I glanced up at him. “All of you.” I tipped my head and smiled. “How did I get to be so lucky to be your solo audience?”

“Because you’re the one for me, Zoe,” he said with earnestness. “The only one.”

I stood before him and gazed into his warm eyes. “And that’s why I’m going to marry you, my gorgeous dragon.” I stroked his cheek and gave him a suggestive smile. “Now, why don’t we continue our celebration in private upstairs?”

Lucas’s gaze turned downright decadent. He scooped me up in his arms. “Your room or mine?”
