I sat up straighter. “I thought of something else.”

“What?” Gianna asked.

“Diego and I had all that demon drama to deal with when we started dating. We were constantly dealing with chaos. Now that things have calmed down...” I exhaled. “Maybe he’s bored.”

Gianna slanted her head and released a thoughtful sound. “Oh, that’s something you can rectify.” She raised her hand and snapped. “Spice things up.” Her lips curled up with a naughty edge.

I sensed the directions she was going. In a lower tone, I asked, “You’re going to say, ‘In the bedroom,’ aren’t you?”

She chuckled. “It’s a good place to start.” She lifted her index finger. “And a lot of fun too.”

Did she have a point? I thought our sex life was great. Sure, we repeated things. We stuck to familiar moves, techniques, and positions, but that’s because we liked them, right? I know I did, but maybe it was getting too routine for Diego.

It wouldn’t hurt to try something new.

“Do you have any suggestions to make things more exciting?” I asked Gianna.

Her eyes gleamed with excitement. “Ooh, yes. Now we’re talking.” She rubbed her hands together, and her expression brightened with glee. “What are you thinking of? Toys? Some light bondage? Maybe some role play?” Although she attempted to keep her volume down, it crept up, garnering a few more surreptitious interested glances—especially from the guys.

Wicked bats and flying monkeys.“Um, I haven’t really thought about that. Does this have to involve a shopping trip?”

“Not necessarily. You could start with different positions. Or locations. Do you ever go anywhere besides your beds?”

I rolled one shoulder. “Not really.”

“That would be a good place to start. Try a different room. Or use different parts of your room. The chair. Up against the wall. Or go sneak around and find someplace off limits outside.”

I groaned. “With all the freaking security cameras around, no, thank you.”

“Do you ever try reverse cowgirl? Or—”

“Oh geez,” I cut her off. “Have I woken up the monster in you?”

“You knew I’d like this topic,” she said with a laugh. She ran one foot through the sand and lifted it so grains fell from her toes. “We can go to an adult store after we leave here. You can pick up all sorts of goodies for inspiration.” She tapped my arm. “Try them and tell me all the juicy details.”

“Absolutely not.” I picked up my book and pretended to read. “Besides, I thought you said we could avoid shopping. I think I’ll close this can of worms before they all wiggle out and bite me in the ass.”

“Okay. Wait, how about a striptease?”

I furrowed my brows and pictured it. I liked to dance but hadn’t done so like that. “That would be new.”

“You’ve never tried one?” Her eyes widened with incredulity.

“No. We’re not all as uninhibited as you, my siren friend.”

“It’s easy. You’ve been to Lucas’s club. Just dance slowly to the music and take off your clothes.”

Hmm, she had a point. Lucas had worked as an exotic dancer before he met his mate Zoe, and we’d gone undercover to his club while searching for a demon. It didn’t lookthatdifficult. Maybe I could in the privacy of my own home.

“What would I wear?”

“Anything you want.” She slanted a gaze over at me and then pursed her lips. “No, not anything. Your usual leggings and long tops might be comfy but definitely don’t give off a seductive vibe.”

I chuckled. “I can find something better than that.”

“Just make sure it’s an outfit you don’t need to fumble with to take off. And wear heels. None of your ballet flats or slides.” She shook her head. “Those areseriously not sexy.”

“Oh, come on, I’m not going to strip with slides. I’m not that clueless.”
