My hands settled on her hips as though they’d been born there.
Her breasts pressed against me, and she twined her hands up around my neck, her head back, her eyes half-closed.
I could feel the desire radiating from her.
Oh.
“I want you come home with me, and take off your clothes and my clothes and kiss me all over.” Roxy’s words were a mere breath against my lips.
I didn’t need to hear anymore. I bent my head and kissed her. Gently at first, to be sure. Because if she was sure… it would be hard to stop.
I’d do it, though.
Whatever she needed from me. I’d do it.
She pulled back from me.
Oh, no.
“Can you magic us back? Like, right now? Please and thank you.”
I didn’t have to be asked again. I thought about her apartment, taking a vision from her mind, and with our next breaths, we were standing in what I thought was her front room. Living room. Whatever.
It wasn’t the bedroom, but if we were alone, I wasn’t going to be picky.
I was here.
She wanted me here.
She wanted me.
I’d laid my heart bare, and she’d chosen me.
A feeling of victory raged through me. But it was more than that. I’d felt victory in battle many times.
This was something more.
This was happiness.
“Thank you.” She leaned back, her hands still around my neck, her luscious lips smiling at me.
At me. “I could get used to that.” Her smile widened and deepened. Took on a more sultry look.
I had to be sure and not get lost in a haze of lust. I needed to hear it from her. “Tell me what you want.”
She didn’t reply, but took my hand and led me to a small room off to the left. It was sunny, with gauzy curtains and hangings on the wall. At least, that was my impression. Roxy pulled me to her roughly and kissed me.
Her intention was clear.
“Say it.” I ground out the words.
“I want you. Stay here with me. Be with me. Be with me, Z.” She opened her eyes to look up at me then, and I was lost.
“But no magic. Use your words. Your hands.”
“You sure? The magic can be enjoyable.”
“Later. I want you like this, just you and me.”
