I glanced out a second time; the asshole’s back was to me, and I made my move. This was my shot before he walked into her fucking room and touched what didn’t belong to him. I went forward, out of hiding, but I heard footsteps.
Shit. Retreat!
“Hey, Leo. Have you seen two bigger guys come this way?” Blondie. She was back and searching for us. “They were with the client in 106, and I can’t find them anywhere.”
Fuck.
“Nope. Haven’t seen them,” Leo answered.
We were silent killers, creatures of the night. No one could stop us when we set our minds on amission, and we’d see this one through without a single flaw. Not even Leo would stand in our way.
“Hm, strange. I’ll keep looking.” She tapped her heels against the floor. “Maybe they found their way back outside.”
“Maybe,” Leo said.
The footsteps stopped. “Oh, I put extra oil in for your client.”
“In room 106?” Leo asked.
“Yes. Her husband explained she was pretty tense.”
Sin shot me a glare.
“Husband?” Sin mouthed at me.
Fuck. Lady. Shut up!I wanted to rip her damn hair out and listen to her scream. She made everything worse.
I closed my eyes and gently banged the back of my head against the wall. We didn’t want Leo lubing up Liv at all, and now there was extra oil added into this fucked-up mess. No way. Not today.
“Thanks!” Leo called out to her.
Her heels clicked along the floor until they were gone.
I heard the shuffle of shoes. Time to take another peek.Yes.The coast was clear. Show time.
Leo reached for the door handle of room 106.
Oh, no you don’t, Leonardo.
Quickly, I leaped into action. My feet moved silently below me, my arm reaching out; I was as quiet as a fucking mouse. I wrapped my forearm around the fucker’s neck and locked him in tight. He was as snug as a damn bug until it was nighty-night time for poor Leo.
Leo slumped down to the floor, and I followed him. I took him by the arms and Sin opened a door to another room, where I lifted him onto the couch. He was going to have a snooze for the rest of his shift, and I tucked him in with a blanket over his unconscious body.
Poor Leo was lucky. I could’ve killed him for wanting to step foot into our girl’s room and touch her when she clearly belonged to us. We walked into the Bliss Bar with her, and we’d most certainly leave with her, nobody else.
Suddenly, Sin grabbed me by the shirt and pushed me up against the wall. His eyes turned dark, angry, and mean as fuck. He wanted to hurt me, and he had every right to because I had messed up.
“I know you’re pissed,” I expressed with my hands up. “But I will not fight my best friend.”
“Why not? You started this.” Hot whiskey breath hit my face.
“I did, but man, it’s morning. Isn’t it too early to be drinking?” I asked.
Sin groaned, irritated with me.
“It’s midnight somewhere,” he replied.
Sin headbutt me in the forehead.
