I want all of you, not just pieces.

I read that sentence for what feels like a million times with my mouth shut.

I get jolted out of my inner musings to see that we’ve stopped. The moment I step out, I realize we’re at the club that started this whole fiasco. I go to take a step back toward the car as a guy comes walking up to me. He’s familiar for some reason.

“Hey, I’m Jace. I’ll bring you inside.” From the voice, I can tell it’s definitely not him. This guy has buzzed blond hair and a beard that’s grown out a couple of weeks. He’s cute with the dimples, but I like my guys a little darker in appearance. I think this is the guy Jenna danced with that night.

As I walk beside him, I can’t help but notice that we’re taking a different entrance than the one I used the first time. The complete absence of noise in this room is almost eerie and puts me on edge as my heels click against the floor.

“Why’s it so vacant tonight? Last time I was here, it was pretty packed.”

“The boss closed the club for you to eat dinner,” he says while continuing his pace through a zigzag of rooms and hallways. Everything is still just as magical and dreamy as the last time.

My steps falter. “Wait... He owns this place?”

My throat almost closes at the thought, and I try to swallow the lump down. This should change everything... shouldn’t it? I can’t keep up with someone like this. I already felt like I was out of my element, but now I’m way beyond that.

“Yep.” He stops in front of a black door with intricate carvings and gold hardware. Over the door is a sign that says Four Senses.

How odd. This place is like falling down the hole inAlice in Wonderland.

“If you will,” he extends his arm, and I examine it in question. “You’re going to use my arm for a minute, if that’s okay?”

“Why?” The second the word is out of my mouth, my phone beeps. Rolling my eyes, I grab his arm.

“Your boss is a pain in the ass.”

“Don’t I know it.” He laughs as we walk into complete darkness.

The second the door closes, another set of arms are grabbing me.

“I’ve missed you,” a voice says with lips so close to my ear it gives me goose bumps.

“How can you see me in the dark? And why are we in the dark?”

“We’ll dine in complete darkness. It’ll give you the chance to use your other senses while your sight is taken away. I promise you the food will taste and smell better, your hearing will be more attuned to the sounds around you, and my touches will feel even better.”

Okay, not what I expected at all. This is a first. I did not know things like this existed.

“And how are you able to see?”

“I have night vision goggles on, of course.”

“Why do you get to see, and I don’t?”

“Because I’m going to feed you.”

He leads me to a table and helps me sit. It’s awkward as hell not being able to see. It also takes a tremendous level of trust I don’t think I’ve ever given to a practical stranger.

As I was getting ready earlier, I grabbed the holster for my knife but stopped and opted to go without it. Something in my gut told me I didn’t need it. He may want me for deviant activities, but I don’t think he would put me in danger or hurt me.

“You look beautiful tonight. The red dress is a pleasant touch. It’ll look great on my floor later.”

“He’s a cocky one...how charming.”

“I prefer to call it confidence. Are you ready to eat?”

“What are we having?”
