CHAPTER 6

Ezra

She runs straight tothe bathroom after we get to the end of the aisle, and I take the opportunity to spit the pill-shaped object into my hand. I shove it into my pocket for safe keeping. I will have to investigate it later.

As I’m shoving my hand into my pocket, wedding guests start coming over to pat me on the shoulder and congratulate me. My father comes by to shake my hand and eyes Briar’s father. He’s not doing shit to him tonight, not with my River so close. I amthe only one that’s going to cause her to scream tonight, and it won’t be about a dead body.

I give him a quick nod of my head so he can see my clear denial of any ideas he may have. He nods back as I turn to see my beautiful bride walking back to me. She has her hands in front of her body, which doesn’t do anything but push her tits farther out of her dress. She picked black, which shouldn’t surprise me but did, nonetheless. She looks hot as sin in it though, so I’m not mad that she chose such a dreary color. The rhinestones all over the bottom of it reflect the light and turns her into a beacon of light so I can find her anywhere.

“Are you ready to go?”

“Go where?”

She looks up at me with her big blue eyes and it makes me reconsider not bending her over the pew in front of us and pounding into her tight pussy right here. But then I’d have to kill every motherfucker here for looking at what’s mine, and I already told myself that she wouldn’t be screaming about death today.

“To the reception. It’s at my father’s place.”

“Oh, okay.”

She looks back down and I take the opportunity to grab her hand and pull her out to my car. I look at my Audi R8 and question why I chose to drive it instead of my truck today.

She looks up, and her face transforms into excitement.

“Oh my god!” she cries. “Can I drive?”

I burst out laughing. A laugh that makes me buckle over and hold my stomach because it’s so hard.

“You’re kidding, right?”

She stares at me…clearly, she was not kidding.

“Okay, not right now, River.”

She keeps staring at me so I grab her hand and pull her to the passenger side. Why am I pulling her everywhere we have to go?

I open the door and wait for her to get in. She looks at the seat, then to me, then back to the seat, and then back to me.

“No.”

“Excuse me?” I chuckle.

“There’s no way in hell that I’m going to fit in that little ass car with all this dress.”

I ponder this for a minute and then think of the perfect solution.

“Do you trust me?” I ask.

“Nope,” she says with a pop.

This woman and her popping p’s.

“Okay, well, be a good girl and close your eyes for me.”

And to my surprise, she does. I take the opportunity to get on my knees before her. This is the first time I have been on my knees for someone, and it came so easily. I didn’t even second-guess it. That has to mean something, right?

I lift just the bottom of her dress and touch her ankles so she knows I’m there. Just that little touch has her jumping, her breath hitching, and goose bumps to rise. Mmm, my girl is so responsive to the littlest touch, but that’s not what I’m doing right now.

I remove one of my hands and trail the other one farther up her leg. With the hand that I removed, I reach into my pocket and pull out my pocket knife. I grab a handful of skirt from underneath and slice across the top. She gasps and steps back.
