Asher bent down and scooped Lita up into his arms, causing her to squeal. “I’ll be your chariot my lady.”
Lita giggled. “You’re such a dork.”
“Nah, I’m a crazy werewolf who’s madly in love.” He rubbed his nose into hers before taking off into a sprint. She squealed and gripped her fingers into him tightly. He was crazy alright.
Chapter 83
Asher came running into the meadow, carrying Lita bridal style. He lowered her down next to Caspian. “How was the trip?”
“I felt like it was a tad bit slow,” Lita teased.
“Don’t I at least get a tiny tip?” Asher’s gaze moved to her lips as he inched closer.
Lita swatted at him playfully. Then, as he started to pout and walk away, she reached up and grabbed him by his shirt collar. She pulled him down to her and planted a hot kiss on his mouth. When she tried to pull away, he didn’t let her. Instead, he captured her head with his hand and held it possessively, kissing her and nipping at her lips.
Grayson cleared his throat. “Kahem … There are children present. Even if there weren’t, you can’t go and make us jealous like that. Asher never kisses me that way.”
“Yeah! When I wake up in the morning, he’s already bolted. Talk about making you feel used,” Caden teased as well.
Asher smiled against Lita’s mouth. “You going to root for me?”
“You boys aren’t going all out, right? This is just for fun to show the boys, right?” Lita raised her brows and looked at the two men. This was unquestionably for the two adult kids.
Rosa walked over, holding the two boys' hands. “They basically coaxed the boys into asking them to fight.”
“You two start getting too rough, and I’ll literally light your butts on fire.” Lita folded her arms, giving the men a stern look.
“Aww, Lita …” Grayson whined.
“Nope. We aren’t at home. This isn’t an arena. I don’t need either of you getting all beat up for the trip back.” Lita wasn’t relenting.
“She’s amazing, isn’t she?” Asher swooned while looking at her.
“Shut up, you lovesick puppy.” Grayson growled in annoyance.
“Come on, boys. Let’s move back some. I’ll coach you on all the things they do wrong.” Caden grinned back at Asher and Grayson as he tugged the two boys along.
“If they get too out of hand, I can always blind them,” Rosa offered with a giggle.
“I’ll keep that offer on the table.” Lita grinned and winked over at Asher.
They all left the two men, making sure to give them enough space.
“Wow, his bear is huge!”
“Look how cool the wolf is!”
“This is so cool!”
Chasen and Brody were enjoying themselves. They were at the edge of their seats. Caden was commentating on the fight, making it more interesting for them.

Lita’s mother’s voice rang out urgently in her head.Lita, come back to the palace, quick! There’s something wrong with one of the children, and we don’t have a healer here today.
“Watch the kids,” Lita commanded Caden, jumping to her feet. She shifted into Mira and sprinted back to the palace. She could hear Asher running quickly beside her.
I could have taken you back, Lita. You shouldn’t push yourself.Asher was worried about her shifting into Mira while pregnant.
