Curiosity clawed at my brain, which was nothing short of a miracle considering all my blood had rushed south. What would happen if she turned her head and discovered my hiding spot? Would she feel like her privacy had been violated and scream at me to get the hell out? Or would she play into my fantasies and curl a finger in my direction, beckoning me to join her?

Fuck, the mere idea of her loving that I’d been watching this whole time was enough to have me grunting as blinding pleasure burst through my veins and cum spilled over my hand.

Through fuzzy hearing, I barely caught the low, throaty groan Summer let out before her heels dug into the mattress as her ass lifted, and she rode out her own orgasm.

Panting heavily, I dropped my forehead to the wall.

Never in my life had I come so hard. If it was this intense jerking off in tandem without Summer’s knowledge, I was terrified that I might not survive the moment when I finally sank inside her and allowed the pulsing heat of her cunt to milk me dry.

But I wasn’t about to let that fear stop me. Summer and I coming together was inevitable. It was only a matter of time before I staked a permanent claim on that perfect body of hers.

“What do you think Summer’s got cooking tonight?” Enzo rubbed his stomach as he reclined in the passenger seat of my SUV.

Annoyed that he’d invited himself to dinner every night this week, I snapped, “Don’t you have a kitchen at your place?”

My cousin clicked his tongue. “Now, now, Matteo. Sharing is caring.”

Gritting my teeth, I muttered, “This little carpool act to the office is getting old.”

“I’m sure it is,” he agreed. “Butsomeonerefuses a security detail, so you’re stuck with me when you want to leave the house.”

“Never needed a security detail before now and have been just fine.”

“You weren’t the don before,” Enzo countered. “And in case you’ve forgotten, someone put a hit out on Gio.” How could I possibly forget? It was the reason my wife was dead. “And with him out of the picture, who’s to say you’re not next on the list?”

I scoffed. “You’re set to make out if I am.”

From the corner of my eye, I caught his visible shudder. “Trust me when I say I want that job even less than you do. I’ve gota good thing going on over here, enjoying the perks of being a Bellini without the target on my back.”

“Don’t get too comfortable,” I grumbled. “You’re one well-placed gunshot away from this whole kingdom being yours.”

With a mocking lilt to his voice, he said, “Oh, no, you’re gonna live forever, Matteo.”

“If you believe that, you’re even dumber than you look.” Men in our line of work didn’t often survive long enough to see old age. The odds were even lower when you held a position of power.

Driving through the front gate, I pulled into the six-car garage with a frown.

What the fuck?

The second I hit the button to kill the ignition, I hopped out and bellowed, “Paulie!”

Enzo snickered, and I shot him a glare that would have any other man going silent before they pissed themselves. But unfortunately, my older cousin was one of a handful of people on this earth who were not afraid of me.

I gestured around the space. “Is this funny to you?”

He made no effort to conceal his amusement. “Fucking hilarious, actually.”

Paulie finally reached us after trekking from the gatehouse at my summons. “You called for me, sir?”

Dragging a hand down my face, I sucked in a deep breath. “Would you care to explain why my seven-figure sports car, along with all the other vehicles inside this garage, minus the one I just parked, are covered in boxes?”

The muscular man shifted on his feet. “Miss Reynolds said she needed them for a project.”

My eyebrows rose. “Summer did this?”

He nodded. “Yes, sir.”

Enzo leaned in, stage-whispering, “Dude, I don’t think she respects your fancy toys.”
