“I’ll call him.” Flash says, standing with Micah. Micah heads over to Jake, who is waiting for him with open arms.

Turning away, I leave them to it and head back to my side of the house, Austin by my side. I hate having to drag Dre into all this, but Jake isn’t wrong in his thinking. Dre is probably the only person who has any sort of chance of helping to control Wreck when he finds out about Shadow.

“The MC really can’t catch a break, can they?” Austin asks, breaking the silence as we walk.

“Doesn’t seem like it. This might just be the worst thing they’ve dealt with this year, though. I don’t blame Jake for asking for help. He’s not wrong when he says those men are going to lose their minds. I know I would be in their shoes.”

“I can only imagine. I just hope everything turns out okay. That they get everyone back safe and sound.”

“Me too, Aus. Me too.”

Chapter Thirty-Three

Dre

The look on Rex’s face as he re-enters Immy’s room tells me whatever caused Micah to scream out the way he did is bad. The worry coating his features is a rare sight, and it increases my own fear of what could have happened. It can’t be anything good if Rex is this worried that it’s showing.

“What is it?” I ask as I steel myself for his answer. I don’t have any idea what could have happened; everything has been calm and peaceful these past few weeks.

I stand, mouth agape, as he tells me what little they know. My heart goes out to Micah; I can’t imagine how I’d react at that age hearing what he did. I think I’d even struggle now at my age. I can’t even imagine what must be going through his mind right now. He’s definitely going to get a massive hug when I see him. He’s such a brave boy.

“Jake’s not wrong in his thinking. They really are going to need all the help they can get controlling those four when they find out, but even if we manage that, Devil’s Point is in trouble if we can’t find their loved ones fast. They’ll have no issue destroying the town to find them. Not that I’d blame them.”

“I know, sweetheart. Austin’s going to watch Immy for us so we can focus on helping any way we can.”

“Thank you, Austin. She should sleep for about another hour.”

“I’ve got this, Dre. Out of here with you.” He says, shooing us in the direction of the door.

I flash him a small smile despite the worry and fear overtaking my body for everyone. I can’t believe this is happening. What is wrong with this fucking woman? And more importantly, who the fuck is helping her, because there is no way in hell she’s managed to pull this off on her own.

Rex grabs my hand as we head back across the house. I voice what I’m thinking about Jasmine not acting alone; I don’t want to keep my suspicion to myself. Not when it could be vitally important to getting Wrath, Shadow, Sera, and Cam back home and in the arms of their loved ones.

“I think you’re right. It took time and planning for her to pull this off, and she’d certainly need help with getting all four of them. Even after being in a crash, there is no way Wrath and Shadow wouldn’t have fought back. Especially having Cam and a pregnant Sera with them. Now the question is, who the hell helped her?”

“I don’t know, but I’m sure between everyone in Devil’s Inferno and The Khaos Group we can figure it out. Do you think Seth might be able to find something to help?”

“No doubt, sweetheart. Whoever is involved in this has no idea what’s heading for them. I’m sure Seth plans on doing everything he can to find anything that might help. He’ll probably work in tandem with Tech.”

“No, they don’t. Let’s just hope Devil’s Point survives the hell that’s about to be rained down and that Seth and Tech can find something to point us in the right direction.”

We both quiet down as we enter Micah’s game room. The sight of a distraught Micah sends me into action; I release Rex’shand and head straight towards the boy, pulling him into a tight hug.

“We’ll get them all back. You did good listening and gathering all the information you could.” I whisper to him as the others in the room start talking and coming up with a vague game plan on how to break the news to the others. I’ll leave that to them. I know the part I need to play in all of this: keep my brother from going off half-cocked. Comforting Micah is more important to me at this moment than helping them brainstorm; this is their wheelhouse. I’m sure they’ll have a vague game plan sorted shortly.

“Dre, sweetheart.” Rex’s voice penetrates my thoughts and draws my attention to him.

I turn towards the others in the room, Micah still holding onto me for dear life. I don’t say anything, just tilt my head and wait.

“We’re heading over to The Clubhouse. Are you ready?”

“As I’ll ever be.” I reply, knowing this isn’t going to be easy on anyone. Watching all these strong men fall apart is going to be hard. I just hope we can all help them focus what they’re feeling into finding Wrath, Shadow, Sera, and Cam.

God, I hope they’re all okay. I can’t imagine what they must be going through right now. I’m worried about them all. They’ve just been in a crash and are now going through God only knows what. I just hope they can hold out against whatever is happening until we can get them back.

We will be getting them back; nobody will rest until that happens. That I know without a shadow of a doubt. It’s going to be all hands on deck in a way that’s never been seen before. The members of Devil’s Inferno MC and Operatives of The Khaos Group will be working together with one goal. Bring home The Jacobsons.

As we all head out towards our vehicles, I pull out my phone and send a message to Wraith. I don’t know where she is right now, but I know if she can, she’ll rush back after she receives my message. Maybe I should have waited to see what the full plan is once we get to The Clubhouse and everyone finds out what’s happened, but I don’t want to. I want to ensure I’ve done everything in my power to help bring Wrath, Shadow, Sera, and Cam home.
