“Anything Tech?”I ask as I enter his cave.
“Nothing definitive as of yet, Prez. I think I'm getting close. She's got a hidden bank account I've managed to find. I'm trying to hack into it now to see if it will give us any information. I'm hoping, as she hasn't touched the other accounts that we know about, that she's been using this one and I will get something from it.”He explains to me while typing away.
“Okay, let me know if you get anything. I want this over with; I'm sick of her hanging over my head.”I reply before turning around and walking towards my office.
I want Claire’s head on a fucking platter after everything. She deserves everything she has coming to her after what she’s done to Cam for years and for what she’s done to Flame recently. I'm not going to just let her get away with it all because she's a woman, and we don't harm women. She's pure evil and doesn't deserve to keep breathing, that I'm 100% sure of.
Chapter Thirty
Flame
We still have no clue where Claire's hiding, but we're trying to be as alert as possible while carrying on with our regular routines. Everything can't just stop because we're having issues. We’ve got businesses to run and lives to live.
Currently, I'm working a trainer shift at The Gym. I promised to cover James as he needed to take his mother to a hospital appointment. I don't mind covering James; he's worked for us here at The Gym since we opened four years ago. He's a hard worker, hardly ever takes time off, and is always the first to offer to cover anyone who needs it.
It's a quiet day. James only had two private training appointments booked; the first one was for a woman who wanted to get in shape for her wedding. Working with her was easy; she was determined and hard-working. It was a real pleasure to work with her, as sometimes women don't want to put in the work and are more worried about how they look while working out.
I'm waiting for my other appointment now; it's one of James’ regulars who we don't really need to help; he just books us because he likes having someone trained to act as his spotter when he's free lifting and using the machines. It should be an easy appointment, and then I'm free to leave. The door opens, and I see my appointment walk in. Waving as he enters, he waves back before going into the locker room to get changed and put his stuff away. When he comes back out, he comes over to talk to me.
“How's it going, Flame?”He asks.
“All's good, Jeremy. What's the plan then?”I ask.
“Normal workout today; I'll give you a shout when I need you to spot me. Aren't going as heavy today though; I got loads of work on at the minute and can't be killing my muscles off working out.”He tells me with a laugh.
I laugh back and nod my head, and he takes off to go do his thing.
An hour later, Jeremy's finished his workout and left. Looking at the clock, I see that it's four in the afternoon. Looks like I'm getting out of here earlier than expected and can go spend some time with Cam. Quickly walking into the office, I see Rock's in here.
“Hey man, I didn’t realize you were here,”I say in shock. I never saw him come in.
“Yep, checking the books for the month. You off?”He asks without looking up from his screen.
"Yeah, man, going to go see what Cam's doing; maybe take him out of The Compound for a bit; he's been stuck in there since he arrived. I'm sure he could use a change of scenery. Plus, his therapist thought it would be a good idea too.”
“Sounds good. Enjoy yourself with your boy. Go get him some bike gear so we can start teaching him to ride. We can't have aPrince of Devil's Inferno that can't ride. It's just not right.”He says, shaking his head with a laugh.
I can't help laughing too, because he's right; Wrath and Shadow had been riding for years by the time they were Cam’s age. I grab my bag and wave goodbye. Making my way to my bike. It seems like I have a plan for what to do with Cam, as long as he's happy with it.
Arriving back at the house, I find Cam sitting on the porch, looking a little lost. Now that's not good; he's normally so upbeat and happy.
"Hey, Cam, what're you doing out here?”I ask as I approach.
“Wanted some fresh air, Papa. You're back early.”He replies, but he doesn't look happy.
“Well, I finished early and was wondering if you wanted to come with me to get you some bike gear. It was pointed out to me earlier that we can't have our Prince not knowing how to ride, and no way are you being taught without the correct gear.”
His face lights up, and he jumps up on the porch. Now that's more like the Cam I've come to know.
"Yes, please, can we go now? I'm ready.”He exclaims loudly.
"Yep, come on, I've got the SUV keys already. Go and hop in. I'm just going to call your Dad and let him know what we’re doing. Then we can go.”I say, unable to stop myself from smiling at his enthusiasm.
Doing as I've said, he takes off. I quickly grab my phone out of my pocket and call Wrath.
“Hey, babe, what's up?”He asks as soon as he answers.
“Hey, nothing's up. I finished at The Gym early and was talking to Rock; he made an excellent point.”
