But I have a mission. One that I can’t abandon.

And it requires me to do something I hate doing.

Opening up to Sienna.

“Are you okay?” She enters and places her hand on my shoulder.

“Yeah,” I say softly. “Your family is a little... overwhelming.”

She rubs my shoulder. “Oh, my god. I’m sorry. I forgot. Your family—”

“They’re dead. Gone forever. We used to have dinners like this too.” None of what I just said is a lie.

Seeing Sienna’s family brought back some memories.

I miss my father and my brothers.

It’s impossible not to.

“What happened to them?” she asks. “I don’t think I ever heard.”

“That’s still a bit of a mystery, but someone killed them.”

“What about your mom?”

“She died when I was a child. I don’t remember much of her. She visited sometimes. We’d go for a walk.”

“She didn’t live with you?” Surprise laces Sienna’s voice.

I shake my head. “My father thought that it was safer for her to live away from us.”

Sienna opens her mouth as if she wants to say something, but she stays quiet.

I turn around and place my hand on her cheek. “I don’t want to talk about my family. I want something else.”

I crush her lips with mine, pushing her back until she collides with the wall.

A gasp escapes her lips as I keep kissing her.

For a moment, I forget what I’m supposed to do. It’s so easy to lose myself in her.

In her softness.

In her warmth.

But I need to explore more of this floor. Check the security. Maybe find a way to Orlando’s office or any other room where he may keep the information that I want to find.

“What are you doing?” Sienna hisses as she breaks away from me. “My parents and my brothers are just—”

I don’t let her finish.

My mouth is on hers again, and I slide my fingers up her thigh and under her dress. Her body responds to me, and when my fingers brush her wet panties, her hand closes around my arm.

“Not here,” she whispers.

“Then where?”

“Come with me.” She takes my hand, and I let her lead me out into the hallway.
