She nodded, not saying anything, as Marcel met me with a handshake. Unlike Dad and Uncle, I didn’t really have that time to bond much with him as I was mostly away on training.
Leo was taller than Delsanra, although he was only twelve. The small frown remained on his face as Delsanra looked at him. She gave him the smallest smile.
“Hey,” she said quietly.
“Hi…”
“You’ve grown.”
“Yeah, you too,” he said, making Marcel smile.
I knew that Leo sometimes snuck her food; she had told me that much, although she used to refuse it often. I would always be grateful to him for it.
They got in the Jeep, and I opened the door for Delsanra, letting her get in the back before getting in myself, remembering she wasn’t wearing any panties... just the thought made me twitch. I got in, watching her cross her legs. I licked my lips, looking away as Marcel started the engine and began driving into the woods.
The tension in the car was fucking thick. I just wanted this over with so we could fucking get out of there.
She placed a hand on my leg, and I turned to her. Our eyes met, and I cupped her face, leaning over and kissing her deeply. We were going to get her the justice she deserved.
Delsanra
The anxiety Iwas feeling was overwhelming. I was trying to do my breathing exercises just to control my emotions. Rayhan’s presence was the only thing that was actually working on cooling me down. My fingers were laced with his tightly as we walked to the hall where my abusers were waiting.
I felt sick. My heart was racing. I didn’t want to go… I didn’t…
“Hey… hey... look at me, Kitten.” His deep voice resonated in me. I looked up at him.
“I don’t want to go,” I whispered.
The confidence I felt around him… the hope for justice... what if... when I went in there, they all started throwing vile abuse… what if-
“Delsanra.” His sharp voice brought me back to reality, and I realised I had zoned out again. “I am by your side. You’re no longer alone. I promise you that.”
I know… I know…
I nodded, and he pulled me into his arms, hugging me tightly. I closed my eyes, listening to the beat of his heart. Where would I be without him? I looked up into his handsome face, and he bent down, kissing me with everything he had. I kissed him back, knowing that even if the world turned its back on me… he wouldn’t.
“Let’s do this,” I said, my voice shaky despite my renewed resolve.
We entered the room. There were many werewolves in the middle of the room whilst guards stood around. The tension in the room was palpable. Rayhan’s grip on me was tight as we walked over to where Marcel stood.
Rayhan kept me shielded, and I stayed behind him. I had performed a spell to disguise myself as human, and with my scent mixed with Rayhan’s, they wouldn’t recognise me. Even when Rayhan stood beside his uncle, I stayed behind, peering through the gap between their arms.
“You all know why you are here,” Marcel said quietly. “Before we became a pack… under Endora’s rule, we did many things we were not proud of, hurt many, and were misled. Yet above all, there was a child in our cells under Endora’s command. Someone she used for her own evil intentions. What are your thoughts on that?”
I frowned. Marcel had told us that he would lead it, and we would take it from there.
“You know what I thought, Alpha,” one of the men spoke, frowning deeply. I could feel his guilt riddling him and tugged on Rayhan’s jacket.
He glanced down at me and gave me a small nod. I just hoped he listened and did not harm those who were regretful.
“She was a witch. Does it matter?” another scoffed.
“Why are we talking about this now?”
“We were all forced to do things we regret, Alpha. That was a part of our past we just want buried… why bring it up now?” I closed my eyes, knowing it was going to be a mixed reaction.
“One by one, I’m going to ask you all three questions under my Alpha command,” Marcel explained quietly.
