“Mind if we get your number?” A pretty blond asked. She was probably one of the prettier women there, but still, nothing compared to my kitten.

“I’m taken,” I said with a slight smirk. “Heart and soul.”

“Oh, come on, I’m not asking you to commit,” she whispered, leaning in.

“No thanks,” I said firmly, my smile vanishing. I disliked pushy women. I began clearing the table. The other two women were simply watching me as the three exchanged looks.

“What about just coming out for some drinks when you’re done?” the redhead suggested, placing her hand on my arm.

Before I could even reply, I felt a powerful surge of energy swirl around us. My heart thundered at the sheer force, and it was then that I saw the cracks appearing in the window behind the table.

“Move!” I shouted, grabbing the two women who were closest to me. I pulled them from their seats before grabbing the third, turning, and shielding her just as the glass shattered. Shards flew everywhere as screams erupted in the diner.

Jealousy

Delsanra

He shouldn’t have come here.Since morning, the women who have been coming in have been eyeing him up like he was a piece of meat. To begin with, I thought it was amusing because usually only women are perved on in that manner, but after about the fifth woman, I’d had enough.

It became irritating, and the way he’d talk to them, take their orders, and flash them those sexy smiles of his didn’t help. I didn’t miss some of the comments in passing as they asked him for his number, gave him theirs, or simply talked about him. Some women kept ordering things just so they wouldn’t have to leave, and it was just building up inside of me.

He was over there, and I noticed how that gorgeous blond leaned closer to him, whispering something suggestively, or the way Rayhan looked down at her, obviously paying attention to what she was saying. That was his type, the type of woman he deserved, not someone riddled with physical and mental scars. But why did I even care? It’s not like I wanted him.

My anger only grew when I saw the redhead place her claws on his arm. A searing pain ripped through my chest, and my eyes burned as I glared at her hand.

“Move!” Rayhan shouted, dragging the two women out of their seats, pushing them away and pulling the blond into his arms as he turned his back towards the glass that shattered behind him.

He looked in my direction, his grey eyes filled with concern and surprise. I simply glared at him coldly, not missing how his arms shielded the stupid blond. I turned and walked out, not bothered about the chaos that ensued. It was only one window. No one was hurt. That’s what I told myself to hide the guilt and fear that was rushing through me. I had never lost control like that with my powers sealed…

I could have hurt someone.I tried to ignore that thought. This is why I needed to stay away fromeveryone.I entered the women’s bathroom and splashed my face with cold water. I stared into the mirror as my heart thumped.

He saw… he knew it had been me. The image of his arms around the woman made that same blistering rage fill me once again, and I gasped when the mirror cracked. I backed away from it, looking at my distorted reflection. This emotion I was feeling… what was it?

I jumped as the bathroom door was pushed open. I spun around in fear to see none other than Rayhan. I didn’t miss the way he looked me over with concern on his face before his gaze flitted to the mirror behind me.

“Are you okay?” he asked, entering the bathroom and shutting the door behind him. I turned away from him, not forgetting the scene from earlier, my chest heaving as I tried to control my emotions. My stomach sank when I realised what the feeling was – jealousy. My blood ran cold at that realisation. I was jealous of other women talking to him, but I shouldn’t be... it wasn’t like he was mine.

“Delsanra…” he murmured softly, placing his hands gently on my shoulders. My heart thudded under his touch. I couldn’t deny the tingle that went through me.

“Go away,” I said, my lips trembling as I tried to control the anger. “I’m dangerous. I wouldn’t come near me if I were you.” I shrugged him off, moving closer to the sink again, not able to handle his closeness.

“You are not dangerous. Look at me,” he said.

I ignored him until he turned me firmly and cupped my face with the same hands that had been wrapped around someone else moments earlier… sending another sliver of irritation through me.

“I’m yours. Only yours.” His voice was soft but sincere. His words made me freeze. How… how did he know that he was the cause of what happened? I pushed his hands off me roughly.

“Don’t get so ahead of yourself. You were not the reason,” I lied, turning my back on him and gripping the sink basin. He didn’t reply, stepping up behind me. I gasped when his hands went to my waist.

“There’s nothing wrong with feeling angry, Kitten,” he whispered.

My heart was betraying me. I could feel the heat of his body behind me. My entire body was covered in goosebumps. He leant down, burying his head in my neck, making my breath hitch.

“I liked it,” he whispered. My eyes widened in surprise. His hands ran across my stomach and waist, and I gasped when he pulled me into him. My heart was going crazy, and the feeling of his body was making me dizzy. “At least it means deep down there’s a part of you that wants me, and I will wait for it.”

He wasn’t showing his usual cocky self; he wasn’t looking down on me or mocking me. I could sense the genuine emotions in his voice, and when his lips touched my neck, sending a delicious spark through me, my eyes fluttered shut.

He placed a feathery kiss there, making me sigh softly. The feel… I had never felt such a pleasant feeling, and I leaned against him; his hand gripped my waist just below my breast, his finger brushing the underside of my boob, so close yet so far… I wanted more. My entire body was reacting to him as if he was a conductor, and my body was the orchestra giving birth to a symphony of pleasure.
