“We actually are fated mates. Destined by the Moon Goddess for one another,” I stated proudly. Rayhan’s eyes snapped to Chris, then frowned.

“Wow…”

“Yeah, wow,” Chris said, pulling me into his arms and cupping the back of my head as he kissed my lips softly.

“This is going to take time,” Rayhan groaned, making Delsanra giggle.

“I love how men think it’s okay to do as they wish, yet when it’s their sisters…” Delsanra trailed off, amused as we all trooped inside. She looked at us both and smiled. “I am happy for you two… I really am. I thinkyou two are the perfect couple. Right, my Yum Yum?” I smirked at the way her voice dipped and became soft. Yes, she was my brother’s undoing, and he knew it.

“Yeah, sure, Kitten. If they’re happy, I’m glad, and I’m happy for them, but it doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy to see it,” he replied, smiling down at her.

I knew he was happy for us; Chris had told me this morning about the small exchange between them about us. My only issue was, why hadn’t Chris fought for me? He had got a smack for that…

They were just about to kiss when Mom and Dad entered the hall.

“You guys were taking forever, so we thought we’d pop out!” Dad said, smiling as Mom’s gaze fell on me. She came over quickly, hugging me tightly.

“Raihana…”

“Mom…” I said, hugging her back. Her heart was racing, and I could sense the relief from her.

“Son.” Dad hugged Chris before he met me. I hugged him tightly. I moved back as Mom gave Chris a kiss on the forehead.

“Dad… Mom… Chris is my fated mate,” I said. Even though I had said those words minutes earlier to Ray and Del, they still felt surreal. Mom gasped. She looked between Chris and me before a smile crossed her lips as Dad smiled.

“That’s great news!” he said.

“And one that calls for a celebration,” Mom said.

“I’m sure the set-up in there is one-”

“Rayhan! That was a surprise!” Del hissed as Mom glared at him unhappily.

“Ya Hayati,” she scolded.

“Sorry,” Rayhan said as Dad chuckled.

“Well, come on in, the food is waiting for us…” he said, patting his flat stomach.

I smiled as Chris took my hand, and we all walked toward the lounge. I couldn’t stop the smile from crossing my lips. Life really was great.

Undoing

Delsanra

It had been a week since the ball, and everything was going great. Rayhan had found a lead on the witch hunter group, and last night he had gone to question his cousin, Alpha Zain, after finding some information on them too.

This morning we learned that he and Alpha Amir had questioned him and found out that although he wasn’t part of the group, he funded it. Zain refused to give more information. That was not the smart thing to do when it came to someone like Rayhan. Maria was worried, as Rayhan’s anger was well known, and Papa Raf was clearly concerned too. Would Alpha Zain have the answers? Rayhan was adamant that he would know who he was funding.

I couldn’t even focus on anything as I stared at the periodic table. I was finally advancing a little to secondary education, but today nothing was helping me focus. My phone beeped, and I picked it up, glancing at Papa Raf, who was massaging his temples.

‘Want to go out for a bit? I was going to the shops anyway. Chris is working.’ Raihana’s message read. I could use a breakaway.

“Papa Raf, Raihana and I are going to go out for a bit,” I said, standing up. He looked up, concerned.

“Out?”

“Yeah, to the shops,” I said.
