“It’s gloomy?” Chris offered. “But seeing you made my day a whole lot brighter.” He winked at her, and she turned a bright shade of red.

“Oh, you kids these days… take a seat! Someone will be right over!” She chortled.

I looked around. Her scent was strong, and as much as I wanted to find her and bury my nose in her neck, I settled on finding a table with a good view of the entire diner.

“So, where is she?” Chris asked. Lola did the honours of kicking him under the table.

“Seriously? We just got here. We will find out who she is. Just keep an eye on Rayhan,” she mocked. “He’ll be panting the moment she steps out.” The rest snickered, and I frowned. After being called a dog by Delsanra, I did not appreciate that reminder.

“Do you guys want to leave?”

“Okay, okay, sorry,” Lola said, not sorry at all, as she laughed and picked up the menu that stood on the stand at the centre of the table. “What are you guys getting?”

They began discussing the menu whilst I fixed my eyes on the back entrance. Just then, the door opened, and she stepped out. In the morning light, her hair was literally glowing, pulled up into a sexy bun. She wore a fitted white top that emphasised her gorgeous figure and showed a hint of cleavage, paired with black fitted jeans and black boots.Damn, she’s gorgeous...She hadn’t seemed to notice me yet as she tied an apron around her waist. My eyes fell to her breasts, the faint outline of her bra catching my attention. She tensed and looked up sharply, her eyes meeting mine. I could hear her heart racing from all the way over here.

“Ana! Go take our first customers’ orders,” the woman behind the counter murmured to her, urging her to hurry up.

 “Sure…” Delsanra replied.

 So that’s her, huh,Lola mind-linked.

She is pretty…Rose admired, earning a slight pout from Lola. Lola was definitely the more possessive and jealous one.

Not as beautiful as you, Sugar,Rose replied.

She’s tiny!Chris added as we all watched Delsanra walk towards us. I tried my best not to lose myself in the sway of her hips.

She isn’t that small,Lola disagreed, just very slender. She’s coming over.

I couldn’t drag my eyes away from her. I saw the frown forming as she gave me a cold look, stopping in front of our table and turning towards the girls, giving me a good view of her derriere.Oh, if only you knew what I want to do with you, Kitten…

“What can I get you guys?” she asked, clicking the back of her pen as she opened a new page of her notepad.

“Can we get you?” Chris asked with a flirty smirk.

A sudden flare of anger I had never felt before rushed through me as I slammed my foot on his. He jumped, his knee hitting the table loudly, hissing in pain as he looked at me, shocked. He wasn’t the only one, all three women stared at me, stunned. The familiar look of fear and hatred swam in Delsanra’s eyes.Shit. I neededto control my temper.

“The menu is in front of you…” she said in a clipped tone.

Is it okay for our Luna to be getting our food?Rose asked through the link.

Not much we can do about that. She looks like she hates us… we need to change that,Lola added.

The tension was thick, and I knew even Chris was too shocked to reply. I felt a little bad for overreacting… especially when I knew that flirting was his second nature.

“I’ll come back when you’re ready to order.” She was about to turn away when I grabbed hold of her wrist.

“Hey, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.” She raised an eyebrow, looking at me scornfully as she pulled free.

“You’re apologising to the wrong person, aren’t you? Seriously, I don’t know what you want, but just go away.” She turned and stormed off. The rejection and humiliation I felt were so fucking painful.Dammit.

The table was silent, and I couldn’t even look at any of them.I guess now I don’t need to tell them just how much she hates me…

Lola reached over, placing her hand on mine, but I didn’t even look at her. My Luna had just told me, upfront, just how much she hated me.

 Time to Leave
