Her eyes were filled with such strong hatred that it was like I could actually feel it. The stinging pain in mychest was a clear reminder of that.

 “Raihana…”

“Don’t. Talk. To. Me,” she said coldly, turning and walking back towards the hall.

“Raihana. Lola knows, and she wants me to tell Rayhan,” I said quietly. She froze, whipping around as she looked at me in shock. Her heart only pounded harder.

“How does she know?” she hissed.

I was about to reply but stopped when a few girls walked past. One of them gave me a small smile, which I automatically returned, only for Raihana’s scoff to bring me back to the topic at hand.

“You really are a slut,” she spat.

The girl glanced back at her before the three entered the bathroom, exchanging looks. They were just irritating me, but it was my fault for fucking smiling.

“Maybe…” I said, clenching my jaw. “But look, Lola knows, because when I left...”

I couldn’t risk speaking about this out here. Walking over to her, I took hold of her by the elbow and pulled her towards some doors nearby. Pushing them open, I glanced around, relieved to see that it was empty. I walked inside, pulling her towards the centre of the room, glancing at the balcony doors that were slightly ajar. No one was there.

“What do you think you’re doing, Chris?” she growled.

“Making sure no one overhears! That day your powers got out of control, remember? Lola came, and I told her to take care of you… she saw the marks,” I said with a frown.

“Well, then tell her to keep it quiet. Rayhan does not need to know,” she said, pulling out of my hold.

 “He’s my best friend… I can’t keep it a secret from him.”

“Oh, that’s bullshit. Stop acting like you have a flipping conscience! We all know you’re just a selfish prick!” I really had no idea why she hated me so much.

“Yeah, because you have this image already made in your mind about me, and it’s clear you’re hell-bent on fucking sticking to it. Listen to me, Princess, no matter what you think about me, I care for my friend. I have to tell Rayhan. Don’t worry, I know I fucked up, and I’ll take the fall.”

“Oh, don’t get so full of yourself, you are not doing me any favours. I got caught up in the moment. You’re nothing special. I’m glad we stopped… I wouldn’t want that dick of yours anywhere near me,” she spat resentfully.

My eyes flashed, my wolf’s anger bubbling. Her gorgeous eyes that held so much resentment were getting to me, the way her chest was heaving along with the urge to simply slam her up against the wall and kiss her again, all wrapped up in one.

“Not that you seemed to have a fucking problem with it when you had your hand wrapped around it,” I growled.

“Oh, please,” she scoffed, rolling her eyes as she put a hand on my chest, pushing me slightly.

Wrong move... she was tempting me, and I wasn’t sure if she knew it or not.

“We both know you were the one that was fucking hard for me!”

The door to the balcony slammed open, bouncing off the walls. Both Raihana and I turned sharply. Our hearts were racing as we stared at the man that stepped slowly inside. His eyes blazed green, the anger that swirled around him was suffocating, and the look on his face was more animalistic than human.

 Rayhan… fuck.

 Rayhan

I had decidedto keep an eye on Mom and Delsanra from somewhere close, yet at the same time give them some space, opting for one of the side halls that wasn’t in use. I was out on the balcony, masking my aura, when I had heard Chris and Raihana. First, I wasn’t even going to bother, thinking they may try to sort their issue, but the conversation that had ensued from the moment he mentioned he was going to tell me…

With every passing comment, my anger was incinerating every ounce of my self-control. My eyes blazed green as I pushed the door open violently.

My eyes were fixed on Chris, the man I considered my brother… I knew his antics, but never did I think he’d ever cross that line and do it to my sister. Although he was the one who wanted to tell me, not Raihana, my anger was uncontrollable.

 “Rayhan,” he said quietly.

My eyes snapped to Raihana’s hand on his chest. I growled as my anger broke loose, and I was in front of him in a flash. He raised his hands in surrender, but it was too fucking late as I ripped him away from her and threw him across the room, only to close the distance between us. I grabbed him, my canines out and the urge to tear him apart consumed me.
