My eyes skimmed over the curves of my figure, hugged tightly by forest green lace. I did look good. My breasts even looked full. Pillowy mounds of flesh, practically plunging out of the sweetheart neckline.

This had to be a magic dress, because I was pretty sure I did not have curves like that. And my legs definitely did not look that shapely.

My face was another story. Whatever Ashley did to it made the lavender in my eyes pop, yet I couldn’t see a stitch of makeup. She had to be a witch. That was the only plausible explanation.

Either that, or the girl I was looking at wasn’t me, but some look alike in an alternate dimension.

“Sophia’s gonna be mad she missed this.” Ashley grabbed my shoulders and fussed with my hair. “Lorenzo’s gonna die. What do you think?”

Liam was too busy staring at me to respond, which made me a little uncomfortable. In fact, this whole situation made me uncomfortable.

“Douchebag.” Ashley snapped her fingers over my shoulders, grabbing Liam’s attention. “I said, what do you think?”

“I think,” Liam cocked his head and slowly rolled his eyes down my body and back up, “We should go for a round or two of some serious hate fucking.”

“I’d rather choke to death on my own vomit.”

He shrugged, “Your loss.”

“Alright.” Ashley looped her arm in mine, “It’s showtime, girl.”

What? She wanted me to leave this room?

“Yeah,” I pulled back and shook my head, “I can’t go out there.”

She sighed and rolled her eyes. I knew that look. Ashley was about to give one of her monumental arguments. Well, this time I wasn’t giving in…

Five minutes later, I was standing outside of Lorenzo’s office, literally shaking in my shoes.

“I can’t do this.”

Ashley grabbed me before I could run away, which was amazingly hard to do in heels. Curse all those movies that made walking in foot stilts look easy.

“You want him to kiss you, don’t you?”

Well, yeah. But…

“It’s easy,” she reached up and knocked loudly on the door, “you just go in there and bat your eyelashes.”

My heart leapt out of my chest when a deep voice called out, “Enter.”

I couldn’t do this. Unfortunately, my so-called friend didn’t give me much of a choice. She opened the door and shoved me inside. I stumbled forward and froze, as the door shut behind me.

Shit.

Lorenzo was sitting behind a large mahogany desk, shoulders hunched, with his face buried in some papers. He didn’t say anything, or even look up. I frowned at the scowl on his face.

Whatever he was working on, he wasn’t happy about it.

Maybe if I was really quiet, I could slip out before he noticed me?

“What is it?”

Well, there goes that plan.

My hands started wringing as I glanced around. I expected an office would have more places to hide. I mean, there was plenty of stuff in here. A couple bookshelves, a chair by his desk, and a bar in the far corner. None of which I could fit under.

“I… uh…”think Kya. Think, think, think,“wondered if… we could… have burgers for dinner tonight?”
