He better not be getting any ideas. My brother may have had fun with some of my toys in the past, but Kya was different. Not sure why. I got off watching my pets get used like the whores they were, and Bias used them hard.

For some reason, when I thought about passing Kya off, I didn’t get hard. I got fucking mad. The other day, I had to stop myself from punching Liam. I didn’t like the way he was looking at her.

“I’m not concerned with your pet. I just think you might be being a little hard on her.” Bias slapped me on the back and opened the door to the dining room. “They all try to run.”

“She knew better,” I snarled, even though I knew he was right. All the slaves tried to run at least once.

Except one.

My eyes landed on the blonde kneeling next to Carmine. Actually, she fell in line pretty quick.

“I see her training is coming along well,” I said, nodding at the slave.

“Her oral skills have improved.” Carmine shrugged. “I upgraded her to Slut.”

Jackson muttered, “We bought her at auction, she should’ve already known how to use her mouth.”

That made sense. She’d already had some training.

I sauntered across the room to my seat at the foot of the table. Jackson sat at the head, with Carmine to the left, and Tobias the right. Other than the two servants standing in the back, the only other people in the room were Slut, formerly Useless Slut, and Ciara.

Apparently she had drink duty today, though I suspected she asked for it. My suspicions were confirmed when she immediately walked over to me and bowed.

“Would you like some wine, Sir?”

I smirked at the black auction bracelet on her wrist. Two more weeks and her sale would be final. “Am I the first person you should be asking?”

Ciara knew the rules. Jackson was the head of the family, not me. She shot me a quick sneer and walked around the table to apologize to my brother. She should be thanking him.

One of her clients wanted a wife and children. His bid wasn’t the highest, but it was the one my brother accepted. Ciara would have a good life. I personally didn’t care what happened to her.

Once dinner was served and we’d all settled in, Jackson started talking about work.

“The auction is in three weeks. I need to make sure you all understand your parts.”

This auction was important, not because we’d make money selling girls, but because of who would be there. Anita Gonzalez. Sister to Mario, head of the Florida sect of the cartel.

Some of our shipments had gone missing, rather important shipments, and I happened to know Mario was behind it. His sister seemed like a fair trade.

Tobias and I sat back and let Jackson run through things. That was something Jackson always did. Came with all the other hyper organized crap he had going on. If one thing didn’t go according to plan, he lost his damn mind.

It didn’t matter if things worked out in the end. Made it very easy to fuck with him, which Carmine seemed intent on doing.

“Carmine,” Jackson slapped his hand on the table, making his plate clatter, “are you paying attention?”

Carmine took a drink of his wine, looked Jackson straight in the eyes and said, “Nope.” Popping the p at the end.

I could hear Jackson’s teeth grinding.

It’d been over twenty-four hours since I’d seen Kya. She pissed me off, plus I didn’t like that I couldn’t get her out of my head. I thought some distance might help with that. It didn’t. If anything, it made things worse.

I jerked off four times today and still didn’t feel satisfied. Sitting here for the next three hours wasn’t high on my priority list. Which would be what happened if Carmine didn’t cut this shit out.

“Stop being a prick,” I barked at him. “No one wants to deal with your shit.”

Carmine rolled his glare my way. “What are you gonna do? Take another shot at me?”

“He took a shot at you?”
