"You won't." I plead with my eyes and smirk when the heat in his gaze flares at the trust I'm giving him.
Talon lifts my legs under my knees and hits my prostate on the first stroke. I yelp at the sensation as Talon takes his turn to smirk. He pegs me, over in over, making me more of an incoherent mess with each stroke. I'm so overwhelmed by my emotions and the sensations Talon is pulling from my body that I come without any warning, shooting all over my stomach. Fire flares in his eyes as he roars his release then collapses on my chest.
"Fucking hell," he grumbles as he rolls us to our sides.
"You can say that again. I never come without stimulation. Or back to back like that. I think you broke my dick," I tease as Talon laughs, still buried inside of me.
I can't hide the wince as he slowly pulls out and takes care of the condom. He has a wipe in his hand and makes quick work of getting me cleaned up as well.
"Sorry if that was too much." He looks guilty, which I immediately need to fix.
"It was fierce boots the house down, henny."
"Uhh … what?"
"Ha, sorry. Forgot you're a bear and probably not up on the gay slang. It was beyond amazing, Talon. Best. Sex. Ever! It's just been a while, and you've got a monster peen. It may take a bit for this queen to adjust to your schlong."
"Alright. And I have to agree. Best. Sex. Ever." He kisses my forehead as he gathers me up in his arms, and I can't help but swoon. "As much as I'd love tostay here with you in my arms all night, I know I need to get you back to those sweet pups. Come on. Time to go."
We work side by side to clean up any trace of us on the mountain, then Talon extinguishes the fire. He has a headlamp and a flashlight that help us navigate back down the mountain in companionable silence, which is abnormal for me but perfect when I'm with Talon. I don't feel the need to constantly fill the void with nonsensical chatter when I'm with him.
The trip home goes by faster than I'd like, but I'm hoping that, with some convincing, I'll be able to get Talon to stay. If nothing else, I'll use the puppies to my advantage.
But to my surprise, when we get back to my place, Talon follows me in, helps with the pups, and then curls up next to me in bed.
I could get used to this.
Chapter 11
Talon
I told Ashley I was all in and that he was mine up on that mountain, but I think he's finally understanding how serious I was that night. It's been a couple of weeks since our first date, and the longest we've been away from each other is our respective shifts for work. We've stayed together every night and have gotten to know each other really well.
Hell, the little shit might have even convinced me to adopt the sweet little girl I bonded with when I helped the puppies I’d rescued. Let's be honest, I didn't take much convincing. I was already thinking about adopting her. Having Ashley help me with her and her training made the decision that much easier.
The first week or so of staying together was pretty rocky as far as my mental health goes. I didn't have any night terrors the first few nights, which was a blessing that I knew wouldn't last. I’d warned Ashley about how bad they could get, but it wasn't until he experienced one firsthand that he got a glimpse of what life with me could be like.
That evening, over dinner, we had a pretty extensive talk about my PTSD and all the micro issues that go along with it, like the night terrors, social anxiety, and even hallucinations that can happen when certain things—like fireworks—trigger me. I didn't want to deep dive, but the little shit made me and even went so far as to take notes. After dredging everything up, I had one of my worst nights in a long time where my night terrors were concerned. After the third one, I eventually called it quits on sleep for the night and started my day before dawn.
The next night, we reconvened over dinner. This time, it was so we could come up with a plan of attack, per Ashley's request. I broke down when I saw how much research he had done over the day, from coping techniques, different therapies, and the best medications to how to train a dog to become a service dog for someone with PTSD. Even though Raven has been by my side since I came home, I finally felt like someone was walking with me through this battle.
I got a new therapist and started some different medications that really seem to help. I still have a long-ass road ahead of me, but I'm way more optimistic than I've been since my accident, and I've got Ashley to thank for that.
He's been my rock, and my shining light through the dark days and the heavy topics that have wanted to pull me under. I wonder every day why he chose me but am damn grateful that he has.
Since he's been so focused on me, I thought I could surprise him with a date tonight. Raven came up for the day, to hang out and meet Ashley, but also to help me surprise my queen with an "epic date night in”. Tilly promised to keep Ashley away from the apartment for the afternoon, so I was able to get everything ready and surprise him when he gets home, which should be any second.
"Bear, I'm ho— Whoa! What did you do to the place?"
"Hi, sweetheart. Raven helped me after we all got done with lunch. The past few weeks have been crazy and heavily focused on me, so tonight is all about you, with me taking care of you and showing you how much I appreciate you. Welcome to our date night in." I lean in and kiss Ashley sweetly.
The little brat tightens his hold around my neck as his tongue plunges into my mouth.
I pull back and swat his ass. "Behave. I promise we'll get to that, but let me treat you and take care of you a little bit first."
"Okay. Can I change and shower real quick?"
"Shower? Yes. Wash your hair? No."
