I peered over my shoulder, and he was looking around us at the trees. He had been doing that since we got on this damn boat, but I guess that was normal since we were in a foreign place. I shrugged it off and continued off the boat to the bus that would bring us back to the resort.

We were amongst the last few people on the bus, so we had to sit at the front. I took my seat, and he followed suit but turned slightly, so his back wasn’t fully facing the seat. Maybe he was a military vet. I heard most didn’t like to be in places that they can’t see everything around them, but what did I know? Only person I knew from the military was my brother-in-law and Jim, but they never mentioned anything different.

I tapped his shoulder, and he glanced down at me with a steel expression. One I hadn’t noticed him ever having this entire trip.

“Is everything okay?” I asked.

From my question, his shoulders relaxed as he released a breath, then closed his eyes for a moment.

“I’m good. I’m not the most comfortable with where we sitting right now, but I will be good.”

I nodded, not wanting to ask too many more questions. The ride back to the resort was filled with silence. I was sure everyone else was exhausted by today’s events, but for me, my mind ran a thousand miles a minute. I wanted to take this to the next level. On this trip, this was the boldest I had ever been, and I wanted to do just this one more thing, even if I never saw this man again.

The bus came to a stop, so Brodrick grabbed my bags, but he never the left seat. I watched as his eyes scanned everyone who left the bus. Once the final person left the bus, he finally stood, then stepped back to let me go ahead of him. The moment Istepped off the last step, a cool breeze blew through my hair. I smiled and then looked back at him to see him staring with a lift of his brow.

“You don’t feel this breeze?” I asked.

“I do.”

I gripped my hips. “Then you should have also felt the peace that blew in. This is the most free I’ve ever felt in my life. What about you?”

He walked over to stand directly in front of me. My heart sped up as he licked his lower lip, then glanced down at me. His eyes never left mine before he spoke. “Since meeting you, yes.”

He only said four words, but those few words were enough. I smiled and made the trek to my room, with him following close behind me. Once we finally made it to my door, I turned to face him.

“So, will I see you tomorrow?” I asked.

Brodrick looked around then back down at me.

“Today is my last day here. I have to finish packing, since my flight is early tomorrow.”

My heart dropped, but those words also gave me the courage to do the one thing I had been wanting to do. I nodded and inched closer to him. He didn’t step back as I continued to move until there was no more space between us. I lifted myself up onto my toes and pressed my lips against his.

I stepped away from the comfort of his chest. The heat in his eyes mirrored my own as I fumbled with my key card. Once I finally got a good hold on it, I turned toward the door and quickly unlocked it. I pulled the door open wide and turned back to face him. He still held onto my bags with a tight grip.

I ran my tongue against my lower lip as I looked up at him.

“You coming in?” I asked.

Brodrick glanced over his shoulder, then back at me. It seemed as if so much time had passed within this moment. Icould practically hear my heart beating loudly in my ears. He took those few steps toward me, and I waited with bated breath. He stopped beside me and leaned down to place a kiss against my lips.

My eyes fluttered shut for a moment. When I opened them, he was inside my hut, so I pushed the door behind me. Not wanting to waste another moment, I moved toward him. My bags hit the floor as he lifted me, and I wrapped my legs around his waist.

His kiss was demanding yet tender as his tongue sought entry that I eagerly granted. The heavy slam of the door echoed through the room, sending a shiver down my spine as the last gust of cool air swept past us. His large, calloused hands gripped my thighs while his lips traced a path from my mouth along the curve of my chin to my neck.

My head dropped back onto my shoulders, giving him all the space he needed to set me off. My heart beat erratically in my chest, and the need to be free from the confines of my clothes tugged at my restraint.

I needed to feel his skin against mine, his body brushing up against me, and his dick stretching me to limits I never thought possible. I reached for the hem of his shirt and lifted it when his hand gripped my wrist.

I lifted my heavy lids up to him.

“Are you sure? Before you answer, I need you to understand before that three letter word slips from your tongue. Let it be known that I devour things I can’t get enough of, and let me tell you this, I can tell you’re going to be someone I can’t get enough of.” He paused briefly as he leaned in and placed a delicate kiss against my neck before pulling back with a smirk adorning his lips. “If you agree, I need your essence coating my tongue, my beard, and my dick. Now, I am going to ask you again, can you handle that?”

His voice was thick with desire as he waited for me to answer. I smiled back and reached between us to undo his shorts, wrapping my hand around dick as much as I could.

“Give me what I deserve,” I responded.

His eyes darkened immediately, letting me know I had removed the invisible leech that had been keeping him in check. His thick hands gripped my ass roughly as he continued to walk toward the bed. He laid me against the soft sheets before stepping back.
