Finally, she releases us and collapses on the couch, naked and breathing heavily.
The sight is breathtaking.
The three of us are a mess, soaked in cum, sweat, and slick, but I sit next to her on the couch anyway, vowing to buy a new couch tonight. Maddox joins me on the opposite side of her, panting.
“Wow,” she breathes. “That was…wow.”
“I don’t know what the hell that was,” Maddox admits, “but damn, do I like an Omega that takes control.”
She bursts out laughing. “Yeah, I’ve never done anything like that before,” she admits, giggling. “But we should do it again soon.”
It’s the first time I’ve heard her giggle, not just chuckle or laugh, and my breath catches.
Her scent is sweet, but in a different way than her arousal.
It’s the aroma of her joy.
I love you.I want to tell her.I love you. I want to mate you.
Now is not the time to tell her, though.
But when Maddox and I help clean her up afterward in the shower, I write it on her skin over and over with my fingers.
Maybe one day I’ll be brave enough to tell her.

PIPER
It feelslike it’s been forever since I’ve been at the rescue.
In reality, it hasn’t even been a week.
It’s barely been a week since Poe broke my heart and put it back together.
It’s been mere days since the pack came together and showed me how much I mean to them.
Now, I’m stronger than I’ve ever been.
I don’t know who that woman was who took two knots in her mouth just hours ago, but I’m not judging her.
It turns out my inner Omega is freaky, and when I feel comfortable, she’s not afraid to come out.
“Poe is actually already here,” Maddox replies when I ask about his packmate. “We got distracted and forgot to tell you.”
Distractedis one way to put it, I guess.
I turn to see Avery blushing, running his hands through his messy blonde hair as we exit Maddox’s car.
“It was a nice distraction,” he says quietly as we walk through the parking lot. “Are you still feeling alright? We weren’t—I wasn’t—too much?”
I stop walking and look him directly in his amber eyes.
“You will never be too much, Avery,” I promise him.
“Imight be,” Maddox adds, smirking. “And maybe Poe.”
Avery’s throat bobs, and a flash of insecurity flickers across his face.
