Teagen had slept with Bowen for the last four nights. Just slept, tucked in against his side with one hand on his chest and his arm wrapped around her. He hadn’t even kissed her. He seemed to be waiting for her to make any moves. No pressure. She liked that, especially since she wasn’t sure she wanted to continue having sex in front of the others. It could cause friction between the men, and that could be disastrous for everyone.

For now, she simply wanted to sleep in Bowen’s arms. Having him hold her was pure bliss, and he kept the nightmares from returning.

Tonight, she’d be sleeping alone. Bowen still hadn’t returned. He was working late.

“Go to sleep, Teagen,” Gavin said when she sat up in bed. She knew without Bowen holding her, the nightmares would return.

“I don’t think I can sleep.”

“You mean without Bowen?” Harlis asked.

She nodded.

He flipped his blanket aside. “I can keep you warm.”

“Leave her alone,” Garvin warned.

“I’m just offering to share my bed. And maybe snuggle. Nothing more.”

When Garvin didn’t object, she figured it would be okay. She trusted Harlis and she really didn’t want to sleep alone. She slid in beside him and lay on her side. He pulled the blanket up to her shoulder and spooned her. Then Harlis pressed his head against the back of her neck.

“What are you doing?” she whispered.

“Keeping you warm. Though you’d be a lot warmer without your shirt on.”

“I’d be colder without my shirt on. And you’d say anything to get me naked.”

“Skin to skin is always warmer. Basic science, princess. But you’re right. I would say anything to get you naked.”

“At least you’re honest about it.”

“Does that mean you’re going to strip?”

“No.”

“Damn. I was so close.”

“You weren’t even in the same galaxy, Harlis,” Gavin said from his bed.

“Whatever happened to staying out of another’s conversation? I need privacy over here.”

“Since when?”

“Maybe I should go to Gavin’s bed,” she said as she started to get up. Harlis pulled her down. “Keep your shirt on, princess. While I’m in this bed with you, it’s hands off. I won’t touch you, not unless you want me to.”

“You’re just trying to keep me from leaving.”

“Damn right.”

“What if I want to go to Gavin’s bed?”

“He snores. Besides, I’m nice and comfy against you. If you leave, I’ll never fall asleep.”

She laid back down. “Tomorrow, Gavin. I don’t think Harlis will give up if I leave his bed tonight.”

“It’s a deal, darling. I can wait. Especially since you’ll stay with me for two nights, right?”

“Yes,” she said, smiling.
