“Suck him,” Jayce said. “Suck him hard, Melina.”

The bed dipped as Ivan positioned himself on his knees in front of her. She didn’t understand this relationship between Ivan and Jayce yet, not fully, but with Ivan looking so utterly hungry for her, she ached to do as Jayce directed.

When Ivan pressed his tip against her lips, her tongue darted out and wrapped around him. She sank onto him, pulling him in, fulfilling a desperation in her she hadn’t even recognized. Jayce had known. He’s read her, understood what she wanted, what she needed at that moment. And he’d taken care of her, as much as he was taking care of Ivan.

Ivan’s hands tangled in her hair as she took him deep. Then a forceful thrust from Jayce pushed her fully onto Ivan. His cock struck the back of her throat and her hands dug into his ass, holding on as he began to move in her.

Back on Baccula, she’d been taken by two men at once, even three, but she’d never had a choice before. With Jayce and Ivan, she could walk away anytime she wanted, except she didn’t want to. They both were intent on giving pleasure, not just taking.

This was a partnership. Respect. Love. Need. Want. . . They all rolled together as Jayce’s hands moved over her back, her ribs, and breasts, tenderly showing her the man who often hid from others. And Ivan. . . One hand tangled in her hair, holding her securely but gently as he cupped her cheek, demanding her eyes meet him as if he needed—wanted—to see the woman within.

Never had she been so aroused, so fully in love with their every caress, their every touch. The two men worked her body in unison, neither vying for control, both justbeingwith her, in the moment, giving as much as they took, perhaps more.

Jayce’s cock stopped moving and he moaned his release. A second later, Ivan exploded down her throat. She swallowed and slowly pulled off of him.

“That’s right. Suck him off. Suck him clean,” Jayce demanded with his usual gruffness, but Melina understood him better now. He could share, give anything of his body, even his life, as long as he maintained the exterior barrier, keeping everyone distant so they wouldn’t see the broken man beneath.

“You’re a demanding bastard,” Ivan said, tipping his head back as Melina swirled her tongue around his length.

“Don’t see you complaining,” Jayce said as he pulled out of her. He swatted one ass cheek. “And no complaints here either. That felt good. Just what I needed.”

Jayce sounded like himself again. Arrogant, confident, and yet she knew his words and tone hid his fears. He’d changed the moment Ivan had entered, erecting the wall that had started to lower with her. For as much as Jayce wanted to take care of Ivan, he was hiding from him.

Melina’s collapsed on the bed, breathing heavily and too tired to move. Ivan stole a kiss and then said, “I only came in to tell you two that we found the secondary access. Behind the last shelving unit in the storage room. Reece is guarding it until Jayce can scrounge up another zurlite lock.”

“Or an access panel. That way we have an escape route,” Jayce said as he collapsed beside her, essentially forcing Ivan off the bed. “I’ll get on it in a few. I’m not done here.”

Ivan raised a brow.

“Leave,” Jayce said quite clearly.

Melina’s fingers glided along the soft hairs of Jayce’s chest. He watched her closely, like a predator observing its prey.

“What are you thinking?” she asked as his fingers stroked her back.

“I’m not thinking about anything in particular. Other than how Ivan needs to go. Now.”

“You’re lying again,” she said.

Ivan hitched a brow as he tucked himself into his pants.

She shook her head, telling Ivan to let Jayce’s sudden foul mood go. “I haven’t figured out why Liden only gave me a warning,” she said instead, hoping to distract both men. “Why not kill me if he and whoever he’s working with is worried I might know too much? They said I was valuable.”

“You are,” Ivan replied.

“Then why not give me to Hawke or some other faction here if they thought I’d make trouble?”

Neither man answered, but Jayce held her tighter.

“Sometimes warfare is more about psychological games than destruction,” Ivan said. “Thorne has a plan. We’ll have to be extra careful until we discover it. As far as we know, Reece still has clearance for Section B. He’ll do recon. We continue with shifts as usual, with a few adjustments to ensure your safety.”

“Ensure her safety,” Jayce scoffed. “You forget where we are. What the men are capable of here.”

At that moment, she wondered if Jayce was thinking about his past. “You’re not that person anymore,” she said, knowing she was violating his trust by speaking of it in front of Ivan. But Jayce’s past had been weighing on him for too long.

“Quiet,” Jayce snapped at her.

Ivan’s eyes darted from her to him. “Spill it, Jayce. You know I fucking hate secrets.”
