“You are normal, but I have to say, Princess, black and blue are not your best colors. I prefer to see you in green or white, something that shows off your eyes.
“I have a favor to ask, Ren.” Hannah tried moving her head, spotted Vaughn and Sersie and then closed her eyes.
Vaughn and Sersie had stopped talking, their eyes glued to Hannah.
“Give us some privacy,” Ren said. When neither moved, he added, “Please.”
The men headed outside for a minute.
“They’re gone, Princess. Go ahead.”
“I hid a datastick in one of your engineering books. Will you have your friend in communications send it to my fathers on Argus?”
She never spoke much of her family. He suspected they had written her off a while back, which meant she didn’t expect to survive or whatever she was sending was dangerous.
“It’s important, Ren. And don’t ask me what it is. Please.”
He couldn’t say no to her. This might very well be the last time he’d see her. “I’ll get it done, Princess. If you do me a favor in exchange.”
“What?”
“Take care of yourself. And never forget me.”
