“Mother!”Stacey groaned.“We’re not in any rush.Look, I promise if we make any big decisions like that you and daddy will be the first to know along with Gage’s parents.Which I should point out, I have yet to meet.Hell, he and I have only been dating about two years as it is and only said ‘I love you’ three days ago.He only met you and daddy because you came by unexpectedly.”
“Well then maybe this summer we can invite his parents along with you and Gage to either The Vineyard or here in Tarrytown.You haven’t seen either house since they have been renovated.”Shelby offered.
“Mom, you’re pushing.”Stacey stated.“Look, me and Gage are out at the lake.I’ll give you a call in a few days all right?”
“Alright, you enjoy your day.I love you, Stacey.Give Gage my love as well.”
“I love you too mom and I will.Bye.”Stacey ended the call and lifted her eyes skyward.“Good god.I just know at this moment; mom is already thinking of planning our wedding.”
Laughing, Gage pulled her back into his arms after she dropped the phone back in the bag.“You against marriage or something?”
“No, not against it...”she looked over her shoulder at him.“Wait, are you...”
Gage laughed again, holding her tighter, “Calm down, I’m not about to pop the question.Though, who knows what the road holds for us further down.Simply curious if that’s something you even wanted.”
Stacey relaxed against him, “I honestly have not given it much thought.Until recently.”
Gage said nothing and just sat there holding Stacey on the lake shore.Like her, he hadn’t given marriage much thought.Then he met Stacey and over the last two years, the idea started to seem increasingly appealing.Especially if she was considering it.He would just wait and see what happened.First things first, they needed to get a handle on this stalker of Stacey’s and make sure she was safe finally.
“Oh, mom suggested this summer maybe we could invite your parents, and the four of us go out to The Vineyard or out to the house in Tarrytown.”She said slowly.
Gage held her a little tighter, “I think that could be fun at either place.I’m sure my folks would enjoy meeting your parents.Tell you what, after this mess is over, you and I can head out to meet my parents for the weekend and we can mention this summer?Okay?”
“Alright, you got a deal.”Stacey nodded, relaxing back into his arms as they stared out over the water.

Stacey took a slowbreath as she exited the elevator at Blackout.After Gage mentioned that maybe her job had nothing to do with her stalker, she couldn’t get the idea out of her mind.When they got home from the afternoon at the lake, she had called Ethan while Gage grabbed a shower.Ethan told her to be at Blackout first thing Monday and they could discuss the theory Gage had suggested.She approached Ethan’s office and heard him and what sounded like Lance talking.She got to the door and knocked on the open door.
“This a bad time?”Stacey asked.
“Hey Stacey.No, I asked Lance to join us, hope that’s all right?”Ethan greeted.
“No, that is fine.Hey Lance.How are the wedding plans going?”Stacey smiled, walking in, and taking a seat in one of the visitor chairs.
