"Danny got a bike? When?"
"After his first undercover gig. He had to learn to ride for the job. Well, he fell in love and got one once the case was closed. That was back in 2009."
"What's he got?"
"He's got an Indian now. His first bike was Triumph America."
"Nice."
He pulled out a bottle of water from one of the saddlebags and handed it to her. She took a swig then handed it to him. He took a swallow and watched as she unzipped her jacket and started stretching a little. She looked beautiful in that moment. Worn leather jacket hanging open, those damned chaps hugging her legs, her hair swept back in the braid. If he was more into the bike culture he would so make her his old lady and put his patch on her. But he wasn't so he'd have to settle for her wearing his ring and taking his name.
"Get over here woman." He said, leaning against his bike.
She turned and lifted a brow. "Woman is it?"
"Yep. My woman." He grinned as she walked toward him.
When she got close enough, he grabbed her and pulled her to stand between his legs. Gently he cupped once side of her face. He leaned forward and kissed her. She felt so good in his arms. He moaned when her hands slid up his chest under his own jacket. He loved how she touched him. Her delicate fingers tracing his body.
"I love you Krista."
"I hope so, because I love you too Ethan."

Grant and Tony studied the blueprints of the venue for Krista's book release. "I still say this hallway here could be an issue." Grant said.
"I agree. From here the tango could go here, here, or even circle around and come in through this back entrance." Tony nodded.
"We will definitely need to have a man or two here." Grant stated.
"We can get someone from Charlie team to handle that. Then a few from Bravo on the other side during the event." Tony nodded.
"Sounds like a plan." Grant agreed. As he began packing things up, he noticed Tony slowly rotating his injured shoulder. "You alright man?"
"Yeah, just woke up stiff this morning. I hate being shot." Tony grumbled.
Grant snorted. "No shit. At least it was a through and through and they didn't have dig a dammed slug out of ya."
On one nasty mission out Grant had been hit by an AK-47. The round had lodged itself in the meat of his right thigh. The corpsman had to dig around a little till he finally pulled the bastard out. Even now Grant had a slight limp when the weather turned.
"I hear ya brother." Tony replied as they walked out of Grant's office. "So, you think boss man and Krista are actually relaxing?"
"I hope so. She's a tough one, but this whole mess has to be a nightmare for her. I know Ethan's worried about her." Grant sighed.
"I think we all are. Even hard ass Lance. Hell, I didn't know the bastard could smile till Krista came along. Since then I've seen him smile at least a dozen times. He even laughed. Did you know he could laugh?" Tony joked.
Grant just chuckled. "She's been good for Ethan, hell good for all of us."
“I never thought I’d be jealous of Ethan, but he’s one lucky bastard. I hope I find that good of a woman one day.” Tony said.
“Me too brother, me too.” Grant agreed.

The sun was just beginning to set when Ethan hit the outskirts of Austin. All day he and Krista had ridden through east Texas. They had stopped in Georgetown for lunch, then just walked around the town taking in the sights. He navigated through the light traffic and decided to swing by Blackout first to pick up the day’s reports.
Or that was the plan till he felt Krista squeeze his thigh. But it wasn't a squeeze of affection. He glanced in his side mirror and through her face-shield, saw the look of fear and concern. Glancing in his other mirror he saw why. There was a black sedan that was coming up on them and rather quickly. Everything in his gut was screaming he needed to get them out of there.
