Christian and Harmony spent most of their time together. They were only apart when she was at school, or he had a meeting. He did most of his work from his home office, so he was close to her.
He would do work while she was studying on the sofa in their bedroom. When the lights turned off, Christian held her against him all night.
He’d taken her out several times, but what she loved the best was making him dinner at home. She’d been able to go to the store once, and Nico and Connor had come along. Since she enjoyed them so much, it hadn’t bothered her that she wasn’t left alone.
It became harder every night when she and Christian slipped into bed and held each other while they slept. She had been amazed at the fact that Christian had not pressured her. For a brief moment, she’d thought maybe he didn’t desire her, but the look in his eyes when he gazed at her could only be described as passionate, hot, and desire-filled.
But the time was at hand.
Harmony looked at herself critically in the mirror. She’d put on her sexiest nightgown, one Christian had bought her, because she wanted to seduce Christian that night.
She realized she hadn’t known him for long, but the feelings for him had grown to a depth she never would have guessed existed. She could see him in her future, and he was already the center of her life. Also, the man had done morefor her than anyone else ever had. He also made her feel safe, beautiful, and desired. She knew they had chemistry from the start, but it had grown from affection into love. At least, it had for her. She knew he felt strongly for her, but he had yet to say the words. Besides that, every look, the sound of his voice, and his masculine scent made passion explode throughout her body.
She loved the fact that he’d kept his promise not to make love until she was ready. It also told her a lot about his character.
She brushed out her hair one more time until it lay in soft, black-as-night waves down her back before she opened the door.
Once again, Christian was on the sofa reading over papers he’d brought home from the office. The only light was a small lamp on the side table, the bathroom light behind her, and the beam of moonlight that came in through the window.
She’d never get tired of seeing him rub his bottom lip with his thumb when he concentrated. It looked like he had showered in another room because his hair was damp, and he wore another pair of the silk sleep pants he had on for the last several nights.
Her fingers itched to touch all of his skin. To kiss and taste him and learn what he liked. She had only been able to caress the silky patch of hair on his chest a few times, until he stopped her. She was hoping that night she would be able to do all the things she’d dreamed about.
She could feel the pounding of her heart and the slight lust-filled tremors in her limbs. Her nipples were already tight little aching beads in need of his attention, and her wet, swollen cunt pulsed with desire.
He must have sensed her because he looked toward her and froze.
Harmony stood in front of the bathroom door. When she saw she had his attention, she reached in and turned off the light, and then grasped her other hand behind her back, andmoved from one foot to the other. Her stomach grew tighter, the longer he took to say something.
Christian set down the papers and rose to his feet. He stalked toward Harmony until he stood inches from her. He grasped her upper arms and ran his eyes over her hungrily.
“What are you doing, Baby?” he said in a dark, honeyed tone.
Harmony smiled shakily. “I’m trying to seduce you.” Then she licked her lips nervously, and a desperate need built steadily when she felt the hard ridge of his cock settle against her stomach.
Christian huffed out a laugh as a sheen of red covered her face.
He smoothed the hair from her face. “You know you don’t have to do this. I can wait until you’re ready.”
“But, I’m ready now,” she murmured with a smidgen of desperation in her tone and set her hands on his chest.
Christian wrapped an arm around her waist. He studied her expression for a moment. The steely vines that he’d kept his desire under control since meeting her relaxed. His body hardened further when he saw the need in her gaze that matched his.
“Be very sure, Baby. If we start something, it will be next to impossible for me to pull back, and the last thing I want to do is hurt you.”
Harmony let her hand glide over his chest, and her fingers combed through the short, springy hair.
“I know you would never hurt me.”
“There is something else I’d like to talk about. I wanted to bring it up earlier, but hadn’t found the right time,” he said. “Have you ever heard of a relationship between a woman and a man where the man is in charge of everything?”
She looked confused. “I’m not sure I understand.”
“It’s called a big/little relationship, and it just means I want to take care of you.”
“You already are,” she said.
“Yes, but I want to be the one you look to for everything, and that you’ll let me make decisions for you. I’ve always had the need to have control, and with you, it’s something I can’t see any other way.”
