“Do you want me to come?” Chase asked, looking over his shoulder, but Jax shook his head.

“I’ll only be a minute, and I think I’d like it to be a surprise for you and Emma. You watch our girl and make sure both of you only have one of those fancy drinks, okay?”

“Okay, babe.” Chase tugged his shirt to sneak a quick kiss, and Jax had the urge to wipe his mouth of the syrupy sweet drink lingering on his husband’s lips.

“Seriously, only one of those terrible drinks,” he added. “Oh, and keep track of any more smart-ass comments she makes.”

“What!” Emma squeaked, leaning around Chase, but he caught their wife around the waist.

“Be right back.” Winking at his husband and wife, Jaxson stepped away from the group to follow Tyler, but they hadn’t made it more than five steps when he heard his name again.

“Jaxson! Hey!” Jonah ‘Cash’ Carter was practically running toward him and dragging his wife Samantha along for the ride.

Sighing, he stopped and waited for the lead singer of the Crushing Stones to catch up. The man pulled him into a quick hug, and Jax slapped him on the back in return, chuckling as he leaned back and saw Samantha trying to fix her hair.

“I’m glad you guys were able to make it,” Jaxson said.

“Of course! We’re excited to be here,” Samantha replied, and he accepted the hug as she squeezed him tight. “We’ve missed you guys and the twins. How are they doing?”

“Great. We’re handling the threes as best we can.”

“Newsflash, four isn’t any better,” Cash muttered, and Samantha smacked his shoulder. It only took a second for the man to pull his wife into his arms, spinning her so her back was pinned against his chest and he was able to hold her by the throat. “Didn’t we just talk about how you’d earned several punishments this week?”

“But—”

“No buts, baby. We’re at Black Light tonight and you know what that means.” Cash leaned down to press a kiss to her cheek, and Jaxson smiled. The couple may have had a rocky start, but they’d known each other since they were children and Jax knew how much Cash loved Samantha and — despite her quiet protest — it was obvious to every Dom nearby just how much she liked the way Cash was holding her.

“Sam!” Emma’s bright voice cut through the growing din around them, and Cash let his wife go so the two women could hug. “Your dress is so cute! I love that you wore silver, it’s so classic.”

“It feels way too short! Yours is so much nicer and look at Madison’s!”

Jax watched his friend’s face for a moment, wondering if he got that same stupid smile when he was watching Emma and Chase from afar. Tapping the man’s arm, he tilted his head toward the curtained entrance to the play area. “Want to come see Tyler’s latest addition to the club?”

“Sure. It seems like the girls need to catch up anyway.” Shaking out his arm, Cash looked down at his watch and glanced back at the entrance. “When are you opening the doors for everyone?”

“About half an hour, we’ve got a little time.”

“I’ll lead the way!” Tyler beckoned them to follow as he marched toward the play side of the BDSM club, and as soon as they passed through the curtain Jaxson’s mouth dropped open.

There was no need to ask what Tyler and his brother had made because it was in the center of the room. One of the platforms had been removed and a floor-to-ceiling wooden pillar had been put in its place. That wasn’t what had impressed him, though. It was the strips of leather angled outward from the top of the pillar, connected to the floor all the way around to form a very kinky version of a Christmas tree.

“Holy shit.” Cash spoke up from behind him, and Jax had to second the stunned reaction.

“Dave and I are pretty proud of this one. Let me show you all the fun stuff on it.” Tyler moved quickly to the huge installation and Cash followed, but Jaxson took his time, taking it in.

“It’s nice, right?” Elijah said, and Jax rolled his eyes at the joke.

“Yeah, it’s nice,” he admitted, scanning the pillar, his gaze stopping on the rings installed at the bottom on each side, along with several different levels of rings higher up. There was more going on with the leather strips, but he hadn’t figured it all out yet, which piqued his curiosity. “This is impressive.”

“Thanks, it’s—”

“How much did it cost?”

Laughing, Elijah grabbed his shoulder and squeezed. “I’ll tell you that tomorrow. No reason to fuck up your night.”

“Am I going to kill you?” Jaxson asked, tearing his gaze from the kinky tree to stare at his Dungeon Master who wassupposedto be in charge of running the BDSM club’s business side as well.

“Kill? Nah,” the man replied, grinning. “You might want to test out a whip, though.”
