Maybe this was the new set of sheets I ordered.

The package was addressed to me, and I did a little happy dance as I carried it into the kitchen to grab the box cutter.

I sliced open the tape and unfolded the flaps, immediately hit in the face with severalterriblescents all at once. It was like a bomb had gone off in the kitchen.

My omega physically recoiled, taking several steps back and slapping a hand over my mouth and nose as I fought the bile rising in my throat.

It was all instinctual. The distress spiked in me so fast I was outside within seconds, gulping fresh air, my voice calling out for the betas before I even realized what I was doing.

“Grace! Where are you?” Spencer called as their footsteps thundered down from upstairs.

My hands were shaking, and I was already pacing by the time they found me on the front porch.

“There’s… there’s a package. Someone sent—” I couldn’t even get the words out. I lifted a trembling hand and pointed toward the kitchen.

Cade’s voice echoed out a few moments later. “What the actualfuckis this?”

He came out with the box in hand, carrying it far away from me, and thankfully getting it out of the pack house.

Thank God, because I was going to have to fog the place with disinfectant and de-scenter at this rate.

“Are those… panties?” Spencer asked, utterly confused and appalled.

“Yeah. They come from alotof different women,” Cade explained. “Who the hell would send something like this?”

“It’s all omegas from the sweetness of it,” I said, my omega furious. My hands were bundled into fists as I paced.

I rubbed my chest where it ached fiercely and backed up even further, wanting to be nowhere near that box. In fact, I would’ve been happy to torch it right there and then.

“Wait, there’s a letter… or some kind of note.”

“You better get gloves. We don’t know what’s in that fucking box,” Spencer warned.

Cade ran inside and came back a few moments later with a pair of work gloves.

“I’ll buy Drew a new pair later,” he muttered as he picked up the letter.

Just then, the rumble of an engine echoed from the driveway. Drew was back from the hardware store with about a million plants stacked in the bed of his pickup truck.

He didn’t even bother to park close, just threw the truck in park and rushed over to me, likely feeling every bit of my distress echoing through the bond.

“What the hell is happening?” he asked, glancing between us before his eyes narrowed on Cade. “Are those my work gloves?”

“They are,” Cade admitted. “I’ll buy you another pair, I just needed to get this out.” He reached into the box and pulled out a neon green piece of paper.

“Don’t worry, omega,” Cade read aloud. “You found a pack of players. In fact, they’ve hadallof these women.”

“There are at least thirty pairs of panties here,” Spencer said, disgusted. “What the actualhell? Iknowthey’re not talking about us, we barely even dated anyone.”

Everyone cast an eye over at Drew, but he held up his hands. “I hooked up with some betas here and there, but I’ve not been with anyone outside of Grace in anyactualrelationship.”

As much as I hated to hear it, I couldn’t say anything about him dating. We’d been apart for years. To expect him to be celibate was unrealistic.

Just like how I’d tried to find my mates during that time.

“Who the hell would do something like this?” I asked. “You really can’t think of anyone?”

The guys didn’t dismiss me. Instead, they all started pacing, different looks of concentration on their faces.
