“I know.” I grinned. “And the number keeps going up every second.”

“This is incredible!” She bounced up and down in her seat with excitement. Her bust sang its siren song, testing my strength. I was determined not to look—butdamnit, I was helpless to resist a pair of jiggling boobs. From the corner of my eye, I stole a quick glance, earning me an insanely guilty lump in my suddenly parched throat. My eyes darted away just as quickly as they’d arrived, but—

“Uh oh,” she muttered. “It’s too much boob, isn’t it?”

Fuck me.

Ofcourseshe’d catch me looking. God, it’s hard being a red-blooded male and having a smoking hot friend sometimes …

“It’s fine,” I said, determined notto look again. “You look great.”

“Are you sure? I’d hate to look like a hussy for mynumber one match.” Peering down, she tested how her rack jiggled when she moved. “Youwouldtell me if it was too much boob, though, right?”

Once again, her breasts beckoned my gaze—but this time, I stayed strong.

“I would.” I was desperate to steer the subject of conversation away from her mesmerizing cleavage. “Hey, what about me? I look like a rat next to you.” I gestured at my scrub-tier outfit: a tank-top and shorts. “Should I put something else on? I don’t want my match thinking I’m a hobo.”

“No. Don’t.” She touched her hand to my tricep, tracing the hard lines with the tips of her fingers. “Girls wanna see those guns.”

“Alright. If you say so.”

“So this is it, huh. Our last live-stream.” She let out a deep breath. “I have to say,I’m gonna miss doing this with you.”

“You know what? I’m gonna miss it, too.”

“Really? Aw.” She smiled sweetly. “Then let’s make it our best one yet.”

“Deal.”

We shared a high-five, our palms meeting with aclap.

“Ready?” I asked.

“Ready.”

“Three … two … one.” I clicked the button that took us live.

Piper waved at the camera. “Heeeey, everybody! I’m Piper Eaglestorm, the creator of Soulmate. And this hunk I’m sitting next to is not just an incredibly skilled NHL defenseman, he’s also my best friend in the whole world. So please welcome, for the last time,”—she switched to her best growly, amped-up arena announcer voice—“Jax, THE BIG RIG, Cameron!”

I chuckled. “Thanks for the intro, Pipes.”

“You’re welcome.” She patted my shoulder. “Jax is averyeligible bachelor, ladies—but I don’t have to tell you all that, do I? That’s why you’re all gathered here. Jax, why don’t you tell the rest of our viewers what we’re doing today?”

“Well, I took the Soulmate personality test earlier today, and so we’re finally going to see who my number one match is.”

“Ah. Your number one match. Your best shot at everlasting love with your one trueSoulmate.”

I added, “Andthe girl I’ll be bringing to the Dallas Devils’ wives-and-girlfriends party next week at the Oakwood Mansion luxury spa resort, all expenses paid.”

“Whoa!” Piper exclaimed. “Talk about an amazing first date.”

“No kidding,” I said. “Not to worry, gentlemen, we’re not leaving you out in the cold. The lovely Miss Piper here is also single, and we’ll be findinghernumber one match today as well. Whoever that lucky bastard is, he’ll get a date with this gorgeous girl.”

“All expenses most definitelynotpaid,” Piper said with a grin.

I laughed and put my arm around her shoulder. “Yeah, no cheap asses, alright? She deserves better.”

“So, Jax, how did you like taking the personality test?”
