Maybe it wasn’t fair, but Katerina’s suggestion that I was trying to fuck these girls made me want to get them thehellout of my house immediately.

I walked over to the stereo. I’d been easing the volume dial back all night, battling unknown people who kept turning it louder and louder. But now I was done playing games—I hit the power button and cut the music. The dancing came to a halt and I found myself facing two dozen angry stares and hisses.

“Hey?!”

“Booooooo!”

“What the hell?”

“Turn that shit back on!”

“Party’s over, guys.” I gestured with my arms, as if I could sweep them right out the door. “The others went to Seventh Heaven. Go meet up with them if you wanna keep the party going.”

No one made a move for the door. If you’ve ever tried to get rid of a bunch of athletes and the girls that are desperately trying to go home with them, you’d know it’s like herding cats. The girls won’t move an inch until the athletes go.

“Matchbox, let’s go, bud.” I put my hands on his shoulders and hauled him to the door. “Jaden, Brayden, out. You too, Mikey. Move it.”

One last group of girls lagged behind. The same group that had given Katerina a hard time. They grabbed me by the hand and pleaded with me to come to the club, promising to make my night worth it if I did.

I shook my head. “Sorry. Not interested.”

I finally managed to get the last one out and locked the door after them.

Alone at last, I surveyed the penthouse. Looked like a damn bomb had gone off.

With a sigh, I unbuttoned my shirt, hung it on the back of a chair, and started to clean up.

I was elbow deep in a sudsy sink full of dishes when I heard the gentlewhooshof a bedroom door opening. Peeking over my shoulder, I watched as Katerina marched into the living room with a pillow and set of linens in her arms. She hurried over to the couch, threw her things down, and started making a bed.

I toweled my hands dry and walked into the living room. “Katerina, what are you doing?”

My voice startled her; she jumped a foot into the air.

“Oh!” she said, a hand on her heart. She’d changed into her pajamas. The hem of her oversize t-shirt was tied off into a knot, exposing her feminine hips and the lovely swell of her soft tummy. “I didn’t hear you come home.”

“Home? I never left.”

“Oh. When the music turned off and everyone suddenly left, I thought you’d all gone to the club.”

“They did. I stayed to clean up.”

“I see that now.”

I took a step closer. “So … what are you doing?”

Katerina’s pert butt jiggled in her booty shorts as she hurriedly tucked the sheets into the couch cushions. I knew I shouldn’t stare at something I couldn’t have, but that was easier said than done.

Such a nice ass.

“I want to sleep out here,” she said. “I don’t want to be a burden, and I don’t want you to argue with me over this, okay?”

“You’re not a burden at all. You’re my guest and I’d rather you have my room.”

“No, I’mSasha’sguest.”

“But you’re my guest, too,” I said.
